Today’s Doll - finally finished painting my Dollits Jicheon that I don’t remember posting here before! I waffled on what to do with him but settled on making him the head for my Kintsugi body! I used the same liquid gold leaf and abalone shells I used on the body. I ended up being a bit more heavy handed than I’d intended to, but I think he looks good!
Last pic is a wip of when I was doing the shell placements.

Mafuyu’s back!! I was today years old when I learned the Dollstown 18 yr body can do a pretty mean seiza/kneeled sitting, and he was so stable, so of course that’s his new position now forever and he can even sit in the cabinet this way…
I busted my ass on this shoot, on the floor, swearing under the lights. But I think it was all worth it for Soom Dia #2! He’s also finally wearing his Fifth Motif hands which I’m debating if I should blush or not, because technically the white paint they use in kabuki goes on his hands too!

Hey everyone. There's a new youtube feature that rolled out just yesterday that's raising some privacy concerns.
People in the U.S., U.K., Brazil, and Singapore can now share videos and chat with friends directly within the YouTube app. The update bring
This post talks about a new DM feature in youtube. What it fails to mention is that as part of this new feature is that when you send someone a link to a video, and they open it in the youtube app, they will see who sent them the link. Specifically, your channel name.
If your google account name is your real name, so is your channel name by default.
This means the new default behavior is that everyone you send a youtube link to will see your full name if they open it in the mobile app.
To turn this off:
Go to your youtube app settings
Go to Privacy
Turn off "Channel visibility for shared links"
Trimming the source id (the stuff after the '?' in links) will also prevent this from happening.

Pulled out the big camera for these pics of Béon and Ayida, the old married couple of my doll group! I just noticed the button on the Andinsky set I got from Space Studio’s booth at NYC Doll Con had a B on it. It was meant to B😏
Béon is a Soom Sullivan on a modded 2DDoll body, and Ayida is a Déesse Project head I sculpted on a Dollshe 26F body, dyed to match.

Other people aren’t barely tolerating me, they’re being patient and considerate and working hard to be polite.
And I find that when I acknowledge the good I see in other people, they feel respected and appreciated.

Broken doll Kintsugi guy is almost done! He just needs a pinky on each hand… And a fancy shoot with his ballerino feet!

Sometimes I forget to post projects here, the one place I could write a whole wall of text in!
I saw this body on ig and it had a backstory, but as soon as I saw it, I had to message the owner to buy it! I was originally going to do another kintsugi/visibly broken doll, but I’ve been challenging myself to do different things this year, like I used to when I was fresher to the hobby!
Step 1 was gluing everything together with loctite and reinforcing the insides with apoxie sculpt. Step 2 was finding a head and purpose for this. Luckily I have plenty of floating heads!
This one had more intact pieces, and it could almost pass as normal once everything was put together. All fingers and toes fit, all joints and the only thing it was missing was one half of an elbow peanut. The one piece I couldn’t reinforce lest it look weird were the fingers. I will look for some gold rings to cover them!

How is the neck joint? And the shoulders? I have one doll with shoulder joints and find them very annoying, the doll always looks like she's shrugging 😅
I’ve never liked neck or shoulder joints but I think it works here! I really like how she can shrug and slouch realistically. Idk what they put in this doll but I’ve just been flipping the shoulders back and forward!
Deep inside I’ll probably always think neck joints are super weird but with all the low mobility heads I have, I’ll take it!
