"Women’s involvement in DIY punk dates back way before the Riot Grrrl movement of the mid-90s. DC-based director Amy Oden chronicles the past 30 years of female involvement in DIY punk, featuring interviews with over 30 women from across the country, including Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre), Slade (Tribe 8), Allison Wolfe (Bratmobile) and many others. Race, gender, sexuality, motherhood, class, and activism are all addressed in this film, giving a more complete picture of how these women participate in the DIY community, and how it affects their daily lives. Director Amy Oden in person! Preceded by a DIY craft market at 6pm. Followed by a live performance by band Sick Fix."

We are almost done recording our LP. It will be out sometime this summer. A good friend of ours is putting it out. More to come on that later. 

What is Forward Ohio? Forward Ohio is a yearly traveling punk music festival. Along with offering all ages music, workshops and zine/book distros, Forward Ohio raises money for local charities in each host city. Where/when is Forward Ohio taking place? Once again we will raffle off various fun items to raise money and personal items that will be be donated to local homeless shelters and food pantries. Raffle tickets will be a dollar each, ten tickets for five dollars, or twenty tickets for ten dollars. Tickets will also be given in exchange for new, unopened personal items such as; baby diapers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, shaving cream and razors, and unopened sheets, pillow cases, and blankets. I will post a detailed list of urgently needed items as we get closer to spring. We will also be looking for items to raffle off as incentives to donate. Let's have some fun with this! As in previous years, we will hold various fund-raising activities and shows to raise loot before the fest. This will keep the door cost low for the kids, while ensuring compensation for all out of town artists. Keep an eye out! Most importantly, tell your friends! How is money raised for Forward Ohio utilized?
