quick study of Carlo Dolci’s ‘Salome with the Head of John the Baptist’

this has probably been one the best experiences I’ve had with blending digitally, and I can’t wait to work more on perfecting this new technique (the one i used in 6 and 7) 

this was the first time i was trying out oil paint, and i obviously got a little carried away with the investigation, but i think the way oil paint feels under the brush is just so superior to other mediums, so i took my sweet time to make this journal page worthy of all the beautiful things that are created with oil 🥀 honestly cant wait to start working on a bigger piece
