Five years ago, I lost my best friend. She was the last puppy in a litter being handed away in a Walmart parking lot, and I told mom and dad “she was MY puppy,” which led Summer becoming a part of the family.

Half a decade without her. Although I have three dogs, with one reminding me so much of her, no dog will ever replace Summer.

I love and miss you so much, Sums. I don’t know if there’s an afterlife, but I hope you’re running around in the biggest backyard you’ve seen with all of the toys you could play with. You will forever live on in my heart and memory.
