Sub drop is a very real thing, and should not be taken lightly. It’s usually a period after an intense scene that the sub can feel very vulnerable, depressed and sometimes actually get sick. The best way to prevent it is by having a good aftercare given by the Dom, but that doesn’t always do the trick. It’s hard to go back to your normal life after you experienced something amazing, this is true for BDSM as well, and there is sometimes a Dom drop because of that.

The best thing to do is talk to the Dom, even if they don’t own you, a quick call or text a few days after seeing how they feel and that the scene was good for them as well can do wonders, and in fact many Doms will check on the sub a few times, seeing everything is fine.

There are also a few things you can do for yourself: Take some time to think about your experience, process it, think of the good and bad parts and what can be improved next time, writing about it can help a lot, that way you have the memory preserved and not fade away.

Pampering yourself is a good idea, a hot beverage is good from deep warmth, comfort food and a hot bath can do wonders. Just relax and enjoy your body. Take care of brushing that you may received and just put some effort into yourself. A sub that takes care of themselves is always a good catch.

Have some solo fun, jerk off (if you can/allowed) and develop your sub skills, there is always something you can do to be a better sub, it might also be comforting to involve yourself in your kinks. Stepping abruptly from BDSM might be a bit of a shock.
