"No, I suppose you wouldn't..." The smile that comes to her face is, for once, less readable than in previous instances. It was a difficult situation to navigate, that's for sure. He wasn't wrong about the actions of what has come to be known as 'Finis Chaldea', at least at their start. But that iteration of Chaldea? They have rejected it and the principles it operated under. She was going to find a way to stop this; after all, the man in white wouldn't want to find people suffering, had he been there.

"Look, I... don't even necessarily disagree with the reason behind all this," she says, "But I will find a different way, one where the lives of those completely outside this chaos don't need to be lost."

The King of Wolves had once more turned his head towards the human- offering within her palm was a familiar loaf of bread that he had caught the scent of. Specifically from his rider, of all things. The beast would merely gaze at the offering, then turn his nose away from her with an annoyed 'grr'.

Seems like the King wasn't as hungry as one may think, or maybe there was a different issue at foot? For now, Lobo had opted to get up from his spot, turn, and then simply sit with his back facing both the mage and his rider. Chains around his claws jingled and clicked while rustling before quieting down from the wolf's still movement.

With a surprisingly gentle touch, Hessian had moved beside her so that way his cape trails behind him. Giving the mage the courtesy of pulling her attention to him instead of the ruler of the wilds.

With a pause, the dullahan then moves his hand back into his cloak- then out came a booklet with a pen linked to it. How convenient, it seems like not only did his cape have the magic of keeping him looking cool and amazing, but also for storing items like this!

Popping open the booklet, he scribbled in fine lettering. His torso turning in order to show her what he had written out. The other hand tapping on the bread she held, as if to acknowledge it at the same time as her reading the scripture he made.

The note within the notebook read:

'His excellency will not accept food from humans. Instead, why don't we get to know one another? Maybe then, Lobo will trust you.'

"Oh... Very well then." The growl didn't seem like a friendly one, so the novice mage retracted slightly, not wanting to irritate Lobo further. Not the most open canine she's met, was he...? Oh well, that's okay.

Julian watched as Hessian began to write, a curious look coming to her face. Lobo seemed utterly disinterested in the food, much to her dismay. Still, maybe she shouldn't be surprised... She only summoned the two of them recently, trust wasn't built in a day. The written text on the page in Hessian's notebook only confirmed that fact; who would know better than him? Currently, not her!

"Shoot, I'm sorry. I suppose I got a little carried away..." Her smile turns sheepish, a hand raising to rest behind her head. Really, she should have known better! Especially given she wasn't as familiar with the story surrounding Lobo as she was with Hessian's, of course the wolf would be less inclined to accept something like that from her! Dark eyes closed in thought. She hasn't told them about herself hardly at all, and she wasn't good at it unless prompted.

Even then, really. When was the last time she talked about herself without downplaying things and sputtering over every other word? Never, as far as she could recall.

"What would you two like to know, then?" she asks, her attention switching between the two, the sheepishness in her smile fading somewhat. "It might be a little odd to ask so upfront... But it feels rude to ask you two so many questions without at least letting you both have a chance first."

He sighed heavily, considering what he could gain if he let her go on one condition. Actually, maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea? He needed money, and she needed him to stop harassing her. Perfect!

"Huh—?" Dark eyes blinked in rapid succession as the proposal was made, seemingly completely forgetting the earlier accusation and dodging her question to boot. Her mentors on her beloved Lacroa had not prepared her for a situation such as this, was this what many seemed to refer to as 'blackmail'? No, maybe just persuasion... Still, such behavior was not fit for the Beauty! Perhaps some clarification were in order. Granted, credits were a little hard for her to come by, but all in the spirit of helping others right? ...Right?

"Er... While I certainly do not mind helping one in need, that sounds an awful lot like bribery." she finally answers, "If you needed my aid, you could have simply said so, rather than accusing me of suspicious activity—"
