It's a normal day, you're in one of your moods(I mean when are you not?) you just gotten home from one of your away missions with Muichiro and Genya, you were pissed off at the fact of even having to go on yet another away mission having just healed from a previous battle with another demon that had you almost at the brink of death if it weren't for your boyfriend's younger sister Nezuko finding you and helping heal your injuries a bit with her blood demon art.

You stormed into yours and Tanjiro's shared estate, fuming because of it being so hot and two because of you not being home in forever and not being able to get proper rest because of the long mission, you threw yourself on the sofa with a groan into the cushions, Tanjiro wasn't home yet he was probably helping the hashira out with something since that's what he does when he's not recovering from a mission in the butterfly mansion or he's probably just out training with Inosuke and Zenitsu, although it would've been nice for him to see you after your long mission but you quickly brushed that thought away since only made you more angry.

A few hours later Tanjiro finally arrived home, glistening with sweat but still his usual cheerful-self, "Oh, hi love glad to that you're back. You feeling okay? Do you want anything?"

You only grunt in response before turning your head towards him, yea offer me something after doing god knows what y'know it would've been nice to actually be greeted by my boyfriend after just getting home from a five day long mission You say raising your voice slightly I don't even know what goes on in your head anymore, do you even care about me anymore?!

Tanjiro then looks at you with a concerned yet sorrowful expression before sitting right beside you on the sofa. "Baby, I know that you've had a hard time during your last few missions and that's what is making you so stressed, you bottle it all up until there's no where else to store that anger so you end up letting it all out on someone who adds onto that built up anger."

All you could do is pause, because honestly what he said was true but also half the time you snap on him or others just because, not because of you having bottled up anger or stress but because it's like anger is your default emotion. You feel tears welling up in your eyes and you feel your throat tightening, you turn your face away from him cause you hate being seen in such a vulnerable state. Tanjiro notices this and quickly places his hand on the small of your back rubbing soothing circles into your skin

"It's okay, you are allowed to feel this way it's not a sign of weakness it is a sign that you're strong even the strongest person you know cries sometimes and that's okay" once you calmed down from crying you turned over to look at him, wiping your eyes before speaking

"Sometimes I wonder, what do I look like in your eyes?" 

Tanjiro looked at you with a puzzled expression before thinking of something to say to that, he pulled you slightly closer towards him before speaking up

"Well, love I see a beautiful woman who sometimes have a hard time handling her feelings but still completely lovable at the same time, you're so strong handling almost anything life brings to you even if it gets a little messy but that's okay because it shows me and others how strong you really are, you keep fighting even if you're already injured and on the verge of passing out but you always finish the fight before finally collapsing. You are so amazing and well I'm glad that me and you met because you bring me and Nezuko joy even if me and you fight or argue it doesn't ever cause us to stay away from each other and that's what I like most of all. I love you so much"

All you could do was smile, before snuggling closer into his side before leaning up and giving him a kiss on the cheek

"I love you too"
