* GRUNT !

          completely enamored of the sugar - covered donut betwix her hands, umi fails to notice the all - too - familiar blue ‘do that creeps by.  the sunlight peeking through the leaves offer a warmth and serenity that is all - too - abruptly interrupted by what seemed to be the weight of the world resting ‘pon her shoulders.  ( she nearly chokes on the haupia filling that tickles her tastebuds, but that’s not too important ! )

          ❛ oh, you don’t ? ❜  her heart dances between trying to be a good friend and offering the other a bite of her malasada, or playing along with his antics… but against his favor.  she hums softly, casting curious aquatic blues in the grunt’s direction.  ❛ hm…!  i suppose that makes sense — after all, i can’t quite seem to recall having ever met you at all !  and i’m not about to just share this with a stranger, much less feed them….  i mean, haven’t you ever heard of ‘ stranger danger ’ ?? ❜

       unimpressed, tired half lidded eyes stare BLANKLY at her for a couple seconds. how dare she ? sure, he was the one who’d initiated this bout, but to think that she’d continue the joke in this manner... ❝ w’sn’t it kumi ? rumi ? eh, wh’tever, guess‘s fine ‘ither way, there’s n’need t’share. ❞ sly smile tugs at his lips; two could play this game, ❝ ‘cause y’forget ‘m used t’STEALIN’ stuff. ‘specially food. ❞

        attention PERKS up when he finds her sitting under the shade of a tree. & truth be told, his very first instinct is to turn around & go the other way, knowing that only trouble would arise from getting anywhere NEAR her again. he would’ve gone through with it, too, had he growl of his stomach not stopped him in his tracks.

       so instead he does the exact OPPOSITE. arms slide past her shoulders as he sinks his entire weight onto her back, chin resting on one of said shoulders-- obviously uncaring of how heavy or close he might be, ❝ i don’ r’member y’name but ‘m hungry’s ALL hell so... feed me. ❞

        -- ❝ y’know-- who th’fuck comes ‘p with th’team names ? th’outfits ? ❞ it sometimes BAFFLED him how people could bring themselves to decide in a single name ( really, one of the main reasons his own pokemon still remained unnamed )-- let alone an entire GROUP. but nowadays, the names he’d been hearing popping up once in a while were ridiculous. galactic ? mamga ? yell ? hell, just by listening to the very NAMES of the teams, they already sounded tiring to deal with. ❝ ‘m real fuckin’ glad our team s’called skull c’mpared t’the others. ❞

        -- ❝ y’done, h ? ❞ the grunt yawns from where he was sitting on a fallen tree trunk, tired of waiting for the other. heck, he’d even CONTEMPLATED on throwing a stick or something at howl, just to remind him that he was here ( but, on a second thought, thought it to be one of the DUMBEST ideas ). he pats the cubone sitting on his lap as he watches the other, pouting the more impatient he grew to get going, ❝ ‘m fuckin’ thirsty-- i wanna get s’methin’ t’drink. y’got money on ya ?  ❞

        She hadn’t been joking- this fellow really looked so relaxed and at peace, she couldn’t help but feel jealous! To just collapse in the grass, and lay there without a care in the world seemed to be a sweet and simple paradise. Alola may have been chock full of interesting things to go, but as for now, the only thing Hannah finds herself wanting to do- is to take him up on his offer, and try it out.

        “Huh… I suppose…” she murmurs softly, beginning to kneel down beside him. But not too close, not wanting to impose more than she already had. Laying herself out on the earth beneath her, her attempt at total relaxation began, “I’ve never imagined the ground to be as comfy as you make it seem, though… then again, most of Alola’s grass and soil seem to be a lot softer and richer than anywhere else I’ve been! It’s rather remarkable…”

        eyes are closed before he even BOTHERS waiting for a response-- after all, it was up to her to decide whether or not she wanted to join him. he’s even about to snooze again, when he hears the grass RUSTLING as she moves, head turning to the side as he watches her kneel. small smile forms when she lays down, obviously not very used to getting this low.

“Air quality; 5.6. Wind resistance; 2.4. The strength required; 14.7-pound strength thrown across approximately  31.23 centimeters. Alright…” 

He took the empty soda can bottle, launching it across the bench he was sitting on to the trash can near the lamp post, and SWISH~ right into it without touching the rim. 

“Having a day off sucks…I need something to keep my mind sharp.”

        brows knit to a FROWN as he watches the other from where he was, sitting on a nearby bench. one which he’d just been sleeping on-- & had been oh so rudely awoken by the other’s incoherent mumbling & the CLANG of the can hitting the bottom of the bin.

        a yawn escapes him, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he utters the words, ❝ shut th’hell up, will ya ? th’HELL were y’even sayin’ ? ❞ because really-- the other might as well have spoken a foreign language. darce couldn’t get a SINGLE word the other’d just said.
