31. “The weird thing is it doesn’t even hurt. It’s just bleeding like a motherfucker.”

He was bleeding all over the place. Not that he did not expect it to not be a bit messy after what happened - but the damn lady that stood only a few yards away didn´t even make an attempt to try and assist him. Anyway, that might be a blessing in Lon´qu´s eyes. Women were not the easiest people to deal with. 

It wasn´t that it hurt. I mean - he could feel it. The wound, that is. But even with that, it was more like a subtle pinch on his knee than anything else. If he were to take a wild guess, he would assume that it was sprained from the fall.

“It doesn´t really feel like anything,” he assured the same unacquainted person whom had now moved closer to the injured man. “Just all this blood.. Got something I can dry it up with? Some tissues or anything?” 

All the blood in the scene made it look like as if a fight took place, just a moment ago. Even if it wasn’t the case-well, first of all humans didn’t care about the articles. Skim over the photos, read the headlines, gossip - a rountine for most of them. People who actually bothered to read... well, it’s not lying if the reader doesn’t know about it, no?

The request snapped her out of her thoughts and prompted her to rush over the stranger. Shit, she’d forgot she wasn’t dealing with a youkai this time. Humans weren’t as tough-hopefully his situation wasn’t that bad. With a concerned expression, she knelt down, nodding before pulling her scarf off and handing it to the young man.

“Is this fine? Sorry I... kept you waiting. I-I thought this would be... interesting to publish-it looks like a fight just happened, and people love reading about them...”

(At least in this world, where she didn’t have to battle nearly everyone she tried to do a report on.)

She turned around when approached by the stranger, taking a quick glance at him. He seemed harmless, just a seemingly panicked young man. Brows furrowed in thought, Aya tried to recall everyone she’s met so far... no avail.
