I fell in the Hughescest rabbit hole a few months ago and I stayed mainly on ao3 until now. I’ve returned to tumblr. Recognized your name because you are EVERYWHERE. But onto the meat and potatoes.

I was once a (lowkey really popular in multiple different fandoms but it’s a long story) fanfic author but it’s been many moons and all of my “work” is lost media. I still write for myself and have several hughescest fics I’ve written.

I’m nervous to publish. Should I? It’s been a solid six years since I’ve posted RPF and I remember catching heat for it. Do yall catch a lot of heat? Is it worth it? Has there been issues with privacy or anything?

I know it’s long winded and weird but I’m seriously considering coming out of retirement for this.

Even if you're uncomfortable with the idea of posting on your main account you could always make a burner or even just post on anon. With rpf though it's good practice to archive lock it so it doesn't end up in the hands of a non-appreciator 😤

I personally have never gotten hate for what I write. Not sure if other Hughescest authors have, but the reception on my fics has always been really good! I get the sense that there are a lot of closeted Hughescest enjoyers that just lurk and consume all the content that people post ❤️ I would say don't worry about it too much
