Rolling Into Equilibrium | Spinda | Re: Everything
Base equilibrium did not mean well for Spinda.
At least, during this time left alone in his room, it meant one thing. Thinking. That was the main thing he wanted to avoid during his stay here. After all, he had done so well to keep everything at the back of his mind so far. He didn’t acknowledge that he was doomed or anything! All he did was play up his childish whims, and he was fine. He pretended everything was going to be just… fine.
He couldn’t do that when he was trapped in here.
Not when there wasn’t anyone but himself to talk to. Not when he realized that he was alone. Not when… he heard the first keycard announcement.
He immediately fell to his knees, gripping his head tightly, as he fell into a mantra of a single string of….
"Nononononononononononononono….."
He knew by then his resolve to continue with a smile was slowly chipping away. After all, it dawned upon him that all those he had initially arrived to this base with…. were dead. He was the last one remaining. It obviously meant that he would be the next to go, and he was terrified.
Still, he had to give himself a pep talk. As silly as it sounded, it’d have to do. He got up on wobbly feet, making his way towards vanity in his room, where he began speaking to his reflection. As he forced on a smile, tears pricked his eyes.
"C’mon now, Spins… Ya can… Ya can… d-do… F-Fuck, I can’t. I can’t. I’m goin’ to fuckin’ die here aren’t I?"
It was at that point that he began wailing, hiccuping out sobs. Who knew if people could hear him past his door, but all he knew was that no matter how much he tried to stifle himself, his cries still rang out in his ears.
