It Is Time. | Masato | Chapter 5 | [Closed for Lorena]
Lorena stares at the masked ninja warily, remembering now what she had seen beneath that expressionless exterior. She tried to be patient, for his sake. For the sake of the other idiots that had decided to tangle with her. Well⌠Almost all of them, she inwardly snickers. Some had it coming, like the bandanna-wearing asshole that Massachusetts mentioned. Maybe this dumbass did too, they were about to find out.
ââŚYou want a sparring partner?â She asks dubiously. âHnn⌠I have been itching to blow off some steam, and Akemi is nowhere near ready for anythinâ fucking serious, so I guess I could be down for that. Just donât go crying to the others after I hand your ass to you. I ainât no soft touch.â
She rises at a leisurely pace, in no rush to be on his timetable. Lorena gives him a pleasant smile while stretching her arms and legs. She was gonna destroy this kid, he just didnât know it yet. âHmm⌠So how you whanna do this?â She asks, putting up her dukes. âIâm the⌠HehâŚÂ âSHSL MMA Fighterâ, but my speciality is aikido and straight-up streetfighting.â Moss Otto might be able to tell though⌠Sheâs a little unsteady on her feet, and her hands are shaking. Thereâs dark rings under Lorenaâs eyes and sheâs forgotten to take of the glasses frames sheâd been wearing, the pair Nori had worn before they died.
Masato doesnât notice the unsteadyness in her posture. Normally he would but- No. His mind is clouded with excitement.Â
âEhh. So I had the right idea- You are skilled. I wouldnât have it any other way.â
You could tell he was getting excited. More confident in his speech as he began to do a couple of warm-up stretches.
âOf course, I think I said it before but- Iâm also a Martial Artist. Super High School Ninjutsu Practicioner. My grandfatherâs teachings focused primarily on Disarming and Disabling my opponentâs. So I hope you donât mind if I hold back a little bit-â
He didnât mean to sound arrogant- Why would he ever intentionally do that- But he was confident in his abilities. In his talent. His posture. His grandfatherâs teachings. His knowledge of the human bodyâs systems.Â
âWell- Should we set up some basic rules first?â
