WHAT IS THE PRICE OF A WISH?

I am shadowbanned, and have been for coming on several weeks now. despite my attempts to appeal for this to be removed, I have had no such luck. as a result, i am heartbroken to say that this account will be going dark.

i am considering other alternatives; ko-fi, substack, or my own built website have been tossed around as options. so keep your eyes peeled if that interests you.

thank you for an incredible year full of making friends and sharing creativity. this was my first time reconnecting with the kirby community since I was a child, and it was worth every second. right now I am less than pleased with tumblr, and so I have no intention of making a new account in the near future, but if you see me pop up again, it'll be under a similar username. I wish everyone well, and thank you again.

I have made a discord server!! this server is 18+ like my blog. it's just a place to chat and hang and share art and writing in a smaller space!!

EDIT: It seems like this change is being reversed, or at least that is what Tumblr is claiming. I am considering making a Discord server for moots anyway, so keep an eye out for that. cheers!

there's no real easy way to say this, but I may consider retiring this account, or at the very least making some major changes to how it is used.

this isn't what I want—like, at all. I have said it before and I will say it again: I love this community. I love all of the jokes and laughter and fun shit we've done together. the people are not the problem, and have never been the problem.

however, the direction this website is going is horrible. I do not want my art disappearing into the void of code where it could be stolen, taken credit for, etc. why on earth will I no longer be able to see my own statistics? why can't I see what is being done with my work or my words? I'm sorry, but it's completely asinine.

I think I have a couple of options at this point—I could retire the account, (leave everything up of course), and move on, but that feels extreme. I could consider migrating, but honestly, there aren't any good alternatives. I could stay chatting here, and post art elsewhere, though I don't know where I'd put it. I could also just post doodles here, and put the finished pieces I care more about elsewhere. It would always be linked—I'm not a gatekeeper!

To anyone following @shrubbybuggy I will be halting that account altogether, as Tumblr has basically made it impossible to get traction or see what is garnering attention. I'll have to advertise elsewhere. Not quite sure what to do about that, but I sure as shit am not giving up on my passion project. I even started writing.

Please be patient with me as I decide what to do. Regardless, I'd rather not drop entirely off of the face of the earth, so if anyone wants to discord chat, I'd love that. I'm going to take some time to think things through, but I did want to give a heads up that this account going dark was a possibility, albeit not a likely one.
