Mumification

I haven't posted here in ages. Sorry. Here's an update: 13.8months. She can say Mum (started day before Mother's Day). Doesn't say it much. But she can. She has just started doing an emphatic no by shaking her head and going "nahin nahin nahin". Or at least what sounds like it. 😅 She is starting to try to stand. She will attempt to pull herself up on things for ages. Daycare says she'll just go at it for a half hour or more. Which she also does at home. We will help her to standing and she loves it. Big grin on her face from doing it. She can sidle two steps when standing against something (furniture cruising). Feeding herself much better now. Spoons food into her mouth quite well.

It's now been a week of no tears at drop off! Yay! And last Monday and today she didn't cry after lunchtime boob! Yay!! (She did for rest of last week). Ao bittersweet - happy she's happy but sad as well. Ha ha.

02-04-17 It (commando) crawls!!! It crawls!!! Finally! 10.5 months.

She's "standing" more and more now. By which I mean putting weight on her legs and, of course, standing on tiptoes on random occasions.

Today bub pretended to pick up food and put it in my mouth. ☺️

19-02-17 & 20-02-17 Kirribilli picnic as initiated by me for bub to enjoy park time and us to be outside. Then next day went to Centennial Park to meet with Ayla. Was going to just go to Kirribilli again, but decided to buzz her and she nominated there. Had a fun time at the cafe and then the swing. Put bub in backwards and she just rested her head on the backrest. Funny kid. 😍

04-03-17 I sang to her to make her happy and she clapped in the fight spots!!! 😍😍😍😘😗😗

Visiting the old neighbourhood for one reason only: baclava!!! Yum yum yum. Had delicious mafroukeh first and a looooot of takeaway. 😋😋😋 Bub was keen to try some. Gave her the ricotta on top. Yum yum yum.

Need to do another catchup post soon. Anyway, kidlet woke up crying tonight after 40mins. I actually wonder if she was awake (ie. it was a night terror). Anyway, hubby went in and couldn't soothe her, so I came in. As soon as she was in my arms, she quietened down. "What the f8ck?!" said hubby. Poor guy. Felt for him. I guess she could smell me and had fallen asleep on boob, so was panicked without it. Nice to be wanted after all the fun time she spends with hubby. Ha ha. But do feel bad for him that, after all that special time they have together, she calmed with me and not him.

21-01-17 "Hello? How can I help you?" Not focussed, but bub held the phone against her ear. First time yesterday and now twice today. She knows!

Just having a sob about her turning 8 months this week and that I'm now returning to work this year. Sob. Can't believe it's been 9 months already.
