ppl in my political science class r so stupid like you mean you tell me that you dont like an idea that fixes the housing market on the basis that its socialism? and you dont like changing the ci stitution because its not what rhe founding fathets intended? the real issue with changing the cinstitution is that we have no system in place to decide who and what should be allowed to make constitutional amendments and ontop of that the cobstotution is an ancient outdated scroll of a dead dream. it was made withpught the foresight of knowing what the future would entail and thus gloryfying it amd revering the founding fathers as deitylike is not only reductive to the fact they had flawes but also doesnt allow for any change in a sustem that desperatly needs it but also cant have it because if it would inevitably someone who doesnt have good intent will make laws that affect the masses extremely poorely and cause harm. so we are stuck in a paradox where if we allow change it will destroy us but if we dont we will also be destroyed.. and what sucks is the constitution was intended to be revised and changed by the people as they saw fit so the idiots who think we need tp be purists to its oh so holy text are denying the very purpose of the document.
