I truly think that when the clerk and Her are in clown form, they are under some sort of brainwashing or mind control, something that makes them not behave as themselves. first off obviously the clerk goes from being buds with gerard to stabbing them, and some shows in summer 2025 where the clerk has an eyepatch or sling but the clown doesnt. and now She is acting completely different as the clown, going from berating the clerk and being all serious to being silly and dancing with him

no. because desert song is tragedy. it is the sound of despair and hopelessness and aching and not knowing how youre gonna wake up in the morning. its addiction and failing and hating yourself and grieving and it was recorded alone drunk and broken. and its stripped down and lonely. it sounds like a cry for help. screaming until your throat bleed just begging someone to see you. but then tonight that play it gently. with gorgeous strings and strong vocals in wembley fucking stadium two decades later and it doesnt sound like despair anymore it sounds like hope. like rebirth. they just put a whole new life into her and now it feels like being able to look back on your broken self and say truthfully "you are going to be okay after all"

This fucking gut punched me watching it on stream because I felt that! I’ve been really struggling emotionally for months and now I’m beginning to hold hope in light at the end of the tunnel.

desert song is a song that has followed me through many phases of my life and it’s one of the songs that means the most to me. hearing the clip of how they played it made me sob because it feels so. so much like hope.

danger days is my favorite mcr album but i really dislike the erasure of characters. and im grateful they rereleased it with zero percent and such, but i still mourn the album’s character yknow
