Account Switching: Now Available on Instagram

Starting this week, you can quickly and easily switch between multiple accounts on Instagram! 🎉

Go to your profile settings to add an additional account. From there, tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts. Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment.

Welcome! Thank you for visiting this page. I’d like to give you a rundown of what it is I’m trying to create. To give a short answer, I guess you could say that if someone were to ask me, “Anna, if you could make your ultimate game – what would it be?” - Then this would be it. If I could dedicate my whole life to making the game of my dreams, I would dedicate it to this. 

But as I am just a one person team right now, sitting at home in my pyjamas working on every aspect of the game single handily, I’ve had to compromise and have decided to start making a tiny taster of my ultimate game - a thin slice of a massive pizza. So this project acts likes a prologue to things to come, because I have to be realistic about this now.  Well maybe it’s not a pizza slice yet but the little bowl of olives you get as they serve the drinks before you receive the pizza. Either way, I am making this project to whet the appetite. 

Right now you may be wondering what sort of game this is going to be. Because making a game could mean anything in 2015. As you can tell by the title – the game could be about swimming. To be honest it is a bit of a placeholder or working title at the moment until I find a better one but it is indeed about swimming. I might end up keeping it because it is short, sweet and to the point. Now what about how you play the game? Right so I’ve had to think really hard about this because as I mentioned before, it’s just me doing this. So I’ve decided to make it a hybrid of different things based on what I can do. It is basically a 3D side scrolling point and click narrative adventure game.  I will tell you now that there is minimal game play. This is the back story to the larger third person action adventure game like Tomb Raider or Uncharted I want this to eventually evolve into. So ‘Swim’ is pretty much a playable story. The player can move around and interact with things and uncover the story through reading dialogue as they go along through the levels. I want the users to really feel what the character is feeling. I really want this to be a thought-provoking experience. Which now leads to the next question - who is this game for?

This game is for everyone. But there are deeper meanings and reasoning behind absolutely every decision I’m making – which I will go into detail with you along the way. The main purpose of this game is to provide young girls with a new role model in interactive entertainment to look up to and learn from. Think of the same audience that would like Frozen and seek to follow pop stars such as Rihanna and Beyoncé. I want the main character not to intimidate but to inspire and empower and give something that maybe other female protagonists in games do not. I would also like the game to inspire young boys to look at females in a different way too. All at the same time as having a challenging, engaging and fun time playing a really awesome kick ass game.

So there you have it – a marginally brief introduction to my personal project. This is what I am working on and I will be feeding you with updates along the way along with any thoughts and notable things to say about any relating topics.
