I have DID, I originally created this blog to be dedicated to that but I realized I can't really relate to most people with DID on here so I'm trying to change focus, but it will probably still come up

I don't really consider myself plural and would prefer to not be called that, it's half a philosophical thing and half my specific presentation of DID (some alters have more identity disturbance than others, but when I'm not actively being traumatized, I present more like OSDD-1a)

What I will post about: experimental treatments for dissociative disorders (bet you didn't know Narcan can greatly reduce dissociative symptoms in people who have never touched opioids, huh? If that sounds interesting please follow me 🙏), my life, things I read on Wikipedia, honestly whatever

I won't say I'm anti-psychiatry but I'm anti-a lot of psychiatry, I especially hate SSRIs and I will talk about hating them and my horrible experience with them + post-SSRI syndrome. I'm not going to say "DNI if you like SSRIs" or something because that'd be ridiculous, and I know they're helpful for a lot of people, but I've unintentionally upset people before by hating on SSRIs, so keep that in mind.

I'm also pro-DIY medicine (when done safely) other than HRT and have personally compounded medications I take daily (nothing controlled feds)

I spend so much fucking time on Wikipedia and PubMed

If you haven't figured it out by now I'm extremely nerdy but I promise I have Cool interests too

I occasionally vent post on here but try to limit it, most of my posts are personal to some degree

You're against DIY HRT -- including for minors, we shouldn't let our children be abused because saving them is too "radical" (exception to this being if you're trans and open to hearing me out on it)

I 100% believe denying trans kids HRT/blockers is at best neglect and usually abuse, not in a metaphorical way, and it's triggering for me to see that be denied so if you plan on doing that go away

There is definitely a phenomena where people try SO hard to avoid anthropomorphism they end up looping around into this quasi-religious stance that humans have some essential non-biological quality that sets us apart from other animals. Like being so cautious about how you describe emotion experienced by a nonhuman animal that you go "that animal is not 'happy' it's just demonstrating a response to positive stimuli and receiving chemical reward signals" as if that's not also what human emotion is at the fundamental level.

the wisdom ive learnt is that becoming part of a friend group 1) takes a long time and 2) involves a lot of feeling awkward and left out at first. there’s nothing terrible about this but if you grew up chronically lonely or have any kind of trauma relating to social isolation this likely feels Really Wrong and activates danger signals. but both fortunately and unfortunately it’s just how becoming close to new people works most of the time

Just so yall know I have like 20 draft posts about why it’s dumb to justify the term “transmisandry” because of corrective sexual violence but as soon as I start actually talking about it I start dissociating and stop being coherent so just know the hot takes are there but you’ll probably never see them

Basic TL;DR is that the “corrective” aspect is just an excuse to justify sexual violence and the people perpetrating corrective sexual violence against trans men would and frequently do perpetrate sexual violence against trans women as well, and acting like sexual violence is largely caused by any motive other than power tripping is completely false and contrary to sexual violence prevention, but as soon as I try to think too in depth about the psychology behind corrective sexual violence I start dissociating and yeah I need to end this post here
