Iron Lung and Project Hail Mary are good examples. Even when they both fall into the same kinda storyline ideas, they couldn't be more different except their love for the craft of film making.

An indie film with extremly low budget rocking the movie theaters and a hollywood movie that felt like a love letter to everything film and practical effects.

The amount of love the creators of these movies and stories put into these films got reflected right back at them from the audiences.

The sheer mountains of posts i see about both movies, be it texts, be it storys or be it art, is just so fucking heartwarming to me.

Its art for the love of art. The love of story telling.

Artists will persist alone because of that. Fuck AI, fuck Hollywood wanting to sanitize the human experince, fuck all of that.
