As the seasons turn cold, a chance encounter with a strange woman in town reveals they're not as good at hiding their disease as they thought. Recognizing their starved state, she offers them a way out via a consequence-free meal to sate their hunger. Though her claims are suspicious and her desires dubious, they'd be stupid to pass up such an opportunity. After all, people don't take kindly to knowing—but Avery hardly qualifies as "people".
