first of all, i recommend all english shiwang fics on ao3. there are only a few, but they are all well written and worth a read. i think at least 2 writers are also tumblr users, so let's send some supports to them on ao3.
ok, now to chinese fics. i won't spend time recommending short fics because the ones i read are mostly just pwp lol...you can go through the tags and summary and find the ones you are interesting in. i'd say 80% are very good.
what i will recommend are some long fics mostly with a good balance between plot and smut. i gotta admit i read most of them 1 to 3 years ago, so if i remembered some of the details/plot wrong, don't blame me lol. also a lot of these fics are hidden from people without an account, so remember to log in! lastly, i don't know how good online or ai translators are nowadays. if things doesn't make sense after translation, then, sadly the translators are still too stupid.
物理学的香气 - it's rather a famous fic in cfandom in the early stage of the fandom. this is kinda smut heavy. the first part of the fic follows three-body plot after shiwang return from qijiatun, and the second half is about how much wang miao is missing shi qiang once the latter goes into hibernation, and miaomiao is using all the means to meet shi qiang. i don't think i actually finished this because it has gotten very heavy in the last part. it's hard for me to see one of them not there, and the other one missing the former desperately. but it's still a very nice fic.
趟过三千银河 - i think this is a good transition for anyone who doesn't want to read very long fics yet. you can actually read this as four short stories. it's about shiwang being in different worlds, and falling in love in each world. once they die in the current world, they'll be promoted to the next world, so don't worry if you see them dying in the end of each story. in the end, it is explained what they are going through. it's not a very traditional type of HE (happy ending) either, but i can live with it.
时间塌缩 - ok, now to something that's actually 200% HE for me. this is the one fanfic with the best reasoning on how shiwang actually have a happy ending 200 years later, and this fic also connects well to the novels. so in my mind this is the canon for me lol. this fic covers the period from shiwang farewell to wang miao welcoming shi qiang in the future, and there's a follow up fic 时间重启 on shiwang's life in the future.
蓝鸟的水域 - my favourite clone fic. in the future, shi qiang found an illegally made clone that looks exactly like wang miao. this is a slow burn fic with very good plot. clone!wang miao has his personal struggles to make sense of who he actually is. shi qiang misses wang miao, but he cannot push clone!miaomiao too much.
白岛假日 - a sentinel and guide fic about how they trains and grows up together when they are young. then shit happens, and they loses their memories, but ends up finding each other and falling in love again.
过云雨 - i think anon is the one who left tags on a post about douban users' abo categorization of three-body characters. so i gotta at least recommend one abo fic. to be honest, i'm not a big fan of abo, but i don't hate it either. this is a fic about wang miao being a married omega who's never been in heat until he meets alpha shi qiang during a bomb threat.
衔尾蛇 - this is a fic about shi qiang being a demi human who can be reborn after dying. no matter how many pieces he was cut up into, he'd come back as a whole being. while he's on a mission to protect wang miao, they fell in love. in order to keep wang miao safe, he gives a tiny piece of his bone to wang miao, so that if they cannot find wang miao through normal means, shi qiang would suffer through the pain and ask to be cut up into tiny pieces, and all the pieces of him will go find the tiny bone wang miao has.
ok. i think i'm going to call it a day here. if you like certain styles or themes of fics, let me know, i can probably recommend more. i've downloaded almost 150 shiwang fanfics, and if you like any, i highly recommend you to download them because we've been through at least 3 rounds of mass deletion among the fandom due to various reasons on ao3. some good fanfics are already lost sadly.
and i just want to say that every time i finish a shiwang fanfic, i'm just in owe of how much they love each other. they truly transcends space and time. they are truly inseparable 🥹🥺🥹🥺🥹🥺.
