My stepdad stood there intrigued and leaned forward for a closer look at the massive frog. Just as he leaned forward I could see the frog view him as prey and lunge forward with an open mouth. The frog engulfed my stepdad all the way to the waist. It took a minute for him to react as he was just motionless for a second after being grabbed. “Yuck! Am I in this thing’s mouth right now!? This is gross and slimy in here! You are is so much trouble!” Just as Dad started to struggle to free himself from the frog’s mouth, the frog did a second gulp……now just dad’s feet were visible….I still had a moment to grab his feet and start pulling……..but, I began to imagine how nice it would be to not have to deal with my stepdad anymore…..the answer was just one gulp away (grin)
