Parents are shit

It’s great having shitty parents. Having one who would let the other do or say anything- and the other who would do or say anything to you. You grow up feeling so unimportant, useless, disrespected and like you are nothing. You have no boundaries with them cause there is nothing they wouldn’t do to you. They hurt you time and time again and never apologize. It’s always the same story with them. Then you grow to resent your abuser and the parent who did nothing to stop it. It leaves you with nothing

You’re so lucky if you have a relationship with your parents that doesn’t suck the life out of you (literally)/ make you wish you were dead

The reason y’all feel so bad after opening up about your emotions is when you were younger your parents gave you shit when you did open up and just made you feel stupid for having emotions in the first place so now you fear that you will be ridiculed and seen as weak.

i genuinely believe my parents were not supposed to be parents. don’t they ever figure maybe they weren’t able to biologically have children for a reason. they’re not good parents and i can’t wait till i have money to leave and never have to talk/be near them ever again.

did your parents make it abundantly clear your whole life that they’d chose each other over you in any situation whatsoever or are you normal

Must be nice to have parents who trust you to go to church w/ a platonic friend of the opposite sex without assuming it’s a way for you to fuck eachother.
