Kurosaki’s Backstory

He was once happily engaged with a woman (whom I have yet to decide her name) and wanted to start a family with her. However, he was unsuccessful in multiple attempts only to discover that, in a doctor’s report, that he was infertile although the cause was unknown; therefore he was unable to bear her any children. He was distraught along with his wife, but he shortly recovered trying to make it work somehow by considering adoption.

However, the wife refused the idea of adopting a child for she wanted to bear a child of her own heritage. She then made little contact with Kurosaki, but he tried to engage her in conversation in hopes to bring up the mood between them.

He was persistent to try to make her happy whether if he was or not able to provide her a child since he’s in love with her. He did the house cleaning, cook dinner, drive her to places, but, to her, it was a nuisance. She became more hostile and aggressive; she was throwing objects at him to leave her alone, but he doesn’t give up trying to make her happy and make the relationship work.

Until one day, she decided to divorce Kurosaki and find another man who can provide her the child she wants. He was still in love with her for who she once was. He never left the house that they both lived in (unless he needed to leave to buy food) in hopes she’ll change her mind and come back. She never returned.

Months passed, his hair now overgrown and clothes disheveled. He was losing hope more and more; eventually, he gave into despair. He blamed himself the most for making her leave. He changed into his partial wedding attire: white dress shirt and pants. Kurosaki wanted to recall the happiest day when he was engaged with the woman of his dreams before ending it all. Going down the basement, tying a noose, climbing over a stool, and kicking it over, he tried to end his life. That is until the basement’s wooden panel on the ceiling that the noose was wrapped around broke under his weight causing him to fall over with minor injuries.
