Attempting to digitally watercolour a comic of what started out to be how I imagined Lance talking to Shiro about potentially being Bi, (and having feelings for Keith) which turned into a full blown comic of a metaphor using surfing.

Thought I’d hit two birds with one stone. It’s Julance, also knows as The Month of Lance (His birthday was July 28th), and since he’s my fav I thought I’d make this picture his birthday picture! This is also based on this Free! End of Episode Frame, cause I have this absolute DESIRE for Keith to get along with Lance’s niece, and maybe his nephew too out of everyone’s, including Keith’s, surprise. QAQ I need it. So I could picture Lance and Keith doing this same thing hahaha

In English, words with a ‘G’ followed by an ‘e’ or an ‘i’ can be pronounced with either a hard ‘G’ or a soft ‘G’.

Words with Germanic roots such as ‘gear’, ‘get’, ‘gift’, ‘give’ (see above) are pronounced with a hard ‘g’ while words with Latin or Greek roots such as ‘gem’, ‘general’, ‘giraffe’, ‘giant’, are pronounced with a soft ‘g’.

So no, it’s not exactly a “general rule” that ‘g’ followed by an ‘e’ or an ‘i’ makes a soft ‘g’ sound.
