It hurts to say this, as someone who writes, but if you’re still interested in the idea behind a wip but currently don’t have passion behind it; start it over. scratch everything you had for it, and begin again. 

That’s what I did with my Lake House novel which I had begun 3 separate times in the last sevenish years before last November. It’s now the first full-length novel I’ve completed.
