where iâm from, we were occupied by nazis during world war too. our government let it happen. Ordinary citizens banded together in reponse to leaked info, and got 95% of our jewish population out of our country. We fought for our freedom, even though it was dangerously, even though it would risk our own safety and the safety of our family. Ordinary citizens. So frankly, whenever countries end up authoritarian, i DO see it as being everyone living thereâs fault that it got like that, and everyoneâs fault that it continues to be that way. I frankly think Americans are pathetic for whining about politics while doing fuck all about it other than complain and occasionally throw rocks. If you do nothing about it, then you are complicit in your own suffering. That might seem like an unfair or harsh worldview, but that is the worldview i have.

saying things like âif people get overtaken by tyrants, they clearly didnt fight hard enough!â which is not only victim-blaming, but completely overlooking how those governments get there by slaughtering people, and how people under authoritarian governments DO fight nonetheless. being successful or not doesnât indicate worthiness of being liberated. you come from ânew zealandâ but by your own logic here, itâs then the fault of the maori for being colonized, and they deserve it. thatâs pretty fucked.
you donât care about people and how they might need help, you only care about moral posturing, and pretending youâre the smartest person while unironically saying things like âyeah whole swathes of people should be castrated and genocidedâ. this isnât even because you care about minorities, or even the concept of human life at all, clearly. you probably donât even participate in any activism yourself, just post online and sit back to feel smug. which, if you havenât noticed, doesnât do anything to make life better for anyone.
you sound like youâre just young and inexperienced and ignorant, and hopefully, that just means youâll grow to learn. but maybe keep that gross shit to yourself until then, probably.
