Firstly, I don't think Ren would purposely wish for Angel to love him [more than anyone else in the world], as he wouldn't consider that genuine love. I've mentioned this a few times on this blog, but Ren wants Angel to naturally fall for him and show genuine affection — not something that's forced or done without their knowledge. So while I don't think he'd resort to using a One Wish Willow, I'm sure Ren would still have his own selfish wishes floating in the back of his mind and things he secretly yearns for.

Ren also has similar abilities to the One Wish Willow already (he's able to manipulate the narrative and his surroundings to a degree), and he's purposely chosen not to manipulate Angel's feelings for him — for over thirteen entire years, to be exact. He wants to put in the effort to earn their affection, and having it handed to him just like that would feel like a cop-out. I've also mentioned this before, but Ren has witnessed firsthand what it's like when you force someone to love you (i.e. his father and mother), and he knows for a fact it's not something he'd ever want for himself.

Also... Ren's entire schtick is to change himself to be what Angel wants, so if anything, Ren would be Nikki, and Angel would be Bear in most scenarios (e.g. the "I can be Nikki!" scene). And the sad reality is that in every scenario, Angel wouldn't even need to use a One Wish Willow; Ren would willingly change every aspect of himself on his own accord. Like... All Angel would need to do is ask Ren to act more like Haruko, and... :(

Similarly, I personally think that using a One Wish Willow would kinda defeat the whole purpose of 14DWY's plot and Ren's characterisation. You're meant to spend fourteen days with Ren (getting closer to him as he tries to shape himself around the choices you make), so if he were to use his powers (i.e. make a wish) to make Angel love him, there wouldn't be much point in the rest of the game. He would've gotten what he wanted (...somewhat), and there'd be nothing left for him — or the player — to do for the remaining thirteen days. I hope this makes sense gshsjh ^^;

Q1: I've mentioned this a few times on this blog, but 14 Days With You will remain free once it's complete, whereas any future spin-offs/DLCs will be paid content.

Q2: No, I do not have an estimated release date for the full game. I work on 14DWY whenever I feel like it, and if I'm being totally honest, as of late, I haven't had much motivation. I've been facing too much harassment, negativity, and just general rudeness from people online that I've tried to distance myself from 14DWY until I feel ready to come back to it again ^^; It's mainly people demanding that I change core elements of 14DWY to suit their subjective interests or telling me to change Ren in a way that would just... blatantly mischaracterise him? I don't know... Either way, it's been crazy out here dawg T_T I've also been busy with IRL priorities, and my schedule isn't the same as it was 3 years ago, so I just don't have the time to work on 14DWY as much as I'd like.

Q3: Maybe! I have plans for a silly lil plant game and a chatsim (from a poll a few years ago), but other than that, I don't see myself making more games. I made 14DWY completely on a whim — and I've always had more interest in writing and drawing — so I think I'll go back to that while still keeping game development as a side hobby. But at the very least, I'll continue adding spin-off content for 14DWY to help extend the game's longevity even after it's completed!!

Q4: Yes, I'm set on not having any outside help for 14DWY (barring things like music, background assets, language translations, etc). At the end of the day, I'm making 14DWY for me and like-minded fans to enjoy, I do it for the love of the game (literally lmao), and because I want to fill a niche in the yandere trope that I was never able to find elsewhere. I know what I want for my game, and I don't think I'd do a good job of conveying it to others ^^;
