Oh hey lets talk about this. Namely, lets talk about good ways to complain about this cause it sucks!
1: bother them and tag them on their official socials! Twitter sadly is gonna be one of the more effective sites for this but where ever you want, tag em and shame them!
2: Discord doesnt care that this will affect the queer community or adult spaces. Don't use it as your primary argument against them. Talk more about potential lawsuits, losing their user base, canceling your nitro if you have one, things that effect them as a business and not a community. Because they dont care about community, they care about money.
3: complain through official channels, flood their support desk with comments about how this change makes you want to leave discord and demand escalation if applicable. Ive worked on the support end of websites before and I can tell you those support tickets will go first to the lowest people on the ladder whos jobs are to make you feel heard so you'll go away without fixing any real problems (no shade to those people btw. They are just doing a job that sucks) Demand tickets be escalated, dont accept stock answers, be a karen about it but just like, without acting like the level 1 tech support/qa that you are dealing with is somehow in a position to make real change. "I am not mad at you I am mad at the situation" is a fantastic line to bring up with the lower level peeps, because they are just people like you working for a system that is designed to have them take the brunt of people's anger even though they cannot fix it and are not responsible for it. Always escalate when you can if you need to complain.

5: remember that this idea sucks and won't protect people so its likely to be reversed at some point or changed. It's also possible the ai they are gonna put in place to run this can be easily tricked without you giving personal data away. Remain calm and skirt the system if possible. The more people exploiting the system is more proof that its a garbage concept that sucks. If you just leave outright then the people remaining are going to be people who follow the rules or bad actors with bad intentions.
6: once again, remain calm. This is a business who had mild pressure put on it and immediately folded because it was the path of least resistance. Playing to their ethical side is stupid because they are a corporation, not a person. Instead, make that least resistant path more annoying and grating for them so they have incentive to not want to take it. Deleting your discord and switching to a new app is you removing a thorn in their side, thus making it easier for them to stick with what they are doing. Remain calm and be annoying.
