Teagan: their loss because you’re awesome and a complete babe.  Teagan: too little, too late, sweetcheeks.  

Teagan: damn. you right. cutie <3 Teagan: were being the key word. I’m eating it myself now. Well looks like you’re starving now.  🤷‍♂️

Teagan: well aren’t you just being the cutest! Teagan: watch who you’re calling a dork! I was bringing you food!

Teagan: stahp, you’re too much. love you Teagan: i kid, pls continue. Aha you’ve seen me when i roll out of bed what do you think.

Teagan: not sure what style or vibe i’m going for today Teagan: feelin’ cute anyway. 

Alec could sense that wasn’t quite the whole truth, and he didn’t want to force anything out of her, but he couldn’t not try and talk about it either. “It’s okay to not be okay. It was a horrible event.” He said, trying to assure her that it wasn’t expected of her or anyone else to be okay after that. He nodded, meeting her gaze. “It was the right thing to do. But you didn’t need to do anything. No one expected that.” 

The brunette paused chewing her lip as she mulled over what he had said. “Well then, I’m not exactly fine but I don’t think I want to talk about it.” She admitted quietly. “Are you okay?” Elsie asked turning the question on him wondering how the whole thing had affected him. She gave a nod, pleased that she did the right thing. “I know but I wanted to do what was right and wanted to help, it’s what you would have done-- well, I mean, it’s what you did.”

Noticing that Elsie had very likely not heard even half of what he had said prior to her asking the question, Alec gave her a small smile and met his sister’s gaze. “I asked if you were okay?” He explained. “The other day was a lot, and you didn’t have to put yourself in that situation, you know that, right?” In fact, he didn’t want her to ever put herself in that situation again but he knew better than to outright state that. 

Elsie forced a smile before nodding. “I’m fine, don’t worry.” She insisted brushing it off like it was nothing when in actuality she knew she wasn’t -- in fact, she hadn’t been sober since the whole incident had happened and even with the drugs in her system, she could still hear the voices. “I know, but it was the right thing to do, wasn’t it?” She asked needing that reassurance.

Elsie’s eyes studied the person across from her–expression blank–before they dropped to her hands in her lap as she went back to listening to the whispers and screams in her head. She only looked up as the person cleared their throat looking at her expectedly, “Sorry– what was that?”  

“I’ve already managed to send someone to get help.” She admitted before thinking back on the girls words. “And what would you do with the person who’s appearance you’re taking? You could risk revealing your an enhanced. It’s too dangerous.”

“How’d you do that?” Elsie asked curious of the answer. “Hide them somewhere, I don’t know. We could shove him in a toilet or something. Well, not inside the toilet, that’s gross I mean just in one of the cubicles obviously.” She gave a shrug. “I don’t mind. It’s not like I’m all that careful with keeping it a secret anyway. I’m actually really bad at keeping things a secret.” 

“So–” She drew the word out in attempt to gain the others attention as a mild plan or more of a stupid idea came to mind. “I need to get from in this room, to the room they’re all in. Where the computer is. I can at least slow them down and make things difficult until help arrives.” Peyton couldn’t help the small grin that pulled at her lips as her adrenaline pumped. “If not, well then we’re all screwed.”

Elsie lent forward slightly to listen to the female’s words. “I can get you there.” She volunteered simply with a smile not thinking to offer any more information.

“What are you thinking?” Hallie questioned nervously, her head tilting slightly. 

“I can take on one of their appearances, maybe trick them somehow or at least get into the office to call the police or something.” Okay, so her plan wasn’t really a plan, more of a vague idea but it was a start.

Seeing the girl’s face caused her to feel slightly guilty for being so abrupt and harsh but she’d rather experience her reaction from observing her rather than actually feeling how she felt. “No, I’m sorry. That was rude of me, I just don’t like being touched.” Carefully she reached out to grab her scarf, making sure not to touch her skin as she did so.

The brunette’s smile returned at the female’s words, pleased she wasn’t cross at her. “It’s fine.” She assured her shrugging it off. “I had a friend before that was a bit like that. He hated germs.” 

“If you plan on keeping your hand, I’d think twice about touching me.” She ground out between clenched teeth, not having to look at the other person. Wren had gotten used to listening to her surroundings and having to sense the people around her to avoid physical contact.

Elsie pulled her hand back as if she’d just been burnt. Biting on her lower lip as she gave the blonde a sheepish look. “Oh... I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you. I was just trying to get your attention, you erm, you dropped this.” She told her holding out the scarf.
