Owen felt like there were hundreds of conversations going on in loud voices, all of them competing with the rock music that dominated the atmosphere. The crowd was mostly made up of young students from the university, there were a few middle-aged men lingering near the bar, no doubt trying to seduce the students by offering to buy them drinks. Owen wound his way through the warm bodies to the table that had called him over. He offered them some quick pleasantries before taking their order and heading back to the bar. âSorry T, I swear people forget itâs not table service in here. Thanks for helping, you really didnât have to.âÂ
âCouldnât leave you to struggle now, could I? Iâm not completely heartless.â She grinned with a shrug of her shoulder, in an attempt to shake off his gratitude. âWhereâs the rest of your staff?â Teagan glanced around the room as if to double check he was definitely on his own. The blonde was currently debating slipping under the counter to start helping serving behind the bar, just to give her something to do and stop her feeling so awkward.
