From âJughead and Archie Comics Double Digestâ, issue 11.Â
The two first pictures are from the first story of the issue, âDonât be rashâ. In this story, Archie notices that Jughead constant consumption of junk food (pizzas, sodas and chips mostly) ended up making him gain a bit of weight (âYouâre looking a little paunchy in the middle thereâ as Archie says). Archie encourages Jughead to do exercise, but the glutton refuses, saying sports give him rashes.Â
And it is proven true, as Archie drags Jughead to the gym, to the pool, to go jogging, and every time Jughead develops a nasty rash (the way it is drawn, though, it looks more like bruises).
At one point Jughead develops one on his belly, so he lifts his shirt. Archie, instead of being impressed by the bruise, rather says âYour gutâs bigger than I thought!â
The third picture is from the same issue, just later, beteen two stories. We see Jughead dream about his ideal foods (the biggest, heaviest, unhealthiest food you can think of, like candied apples on a foot-long hot-dog or sundae on sausage pizza) - and later Jughead, bloated, stuffed and sick after eating said dream foods.Â
