In 34 out of 50 states it is legal for a manager to fire their employee simply because they discover and don’t support said employee’s sexual orientation. A lovely human being has posted a petition to convince Obama to offer workplace protection. It is beautifully written and brings up valid points. The petition has already motivated several big businesses to change their anti-harassment policies to include protection for lesbian and gay individuals.
