no cause like....think about it. he used to be human, died, got resurrected by the influence and had to relearn what humanity is like. he doesn't have any other form of communication outside of the internet. that by itself isnt an allegory for neurodivergence but imagine you died and came back completely different. your existence is limited to the internet and you have no memory of your past, human self, only feelings. so you try your best to relearn what it means to be human - how to communicate with others and such, but something in you is structured so fundamentally different to humans that things just...dont come out right.

if you notice how ajar communicates, hes very evasive in his speech, his high language usage tends to obscure what hes actually trying to say. flies cant even tell what hes saying half the time. you may be led to believe that hes hiding something, but to me, he just doesn't know how to communicate properly. theres a barrier between his understanding of how to convey things clearly and our understanding of direct communication. he never notes this or anything, which i believe is because he doesn't understand that hes being confusing, after all his messages tend to go through without much issue. its probably not the intended way to read his character, but to me it reads like someone who's autistic, has a peculiar interest in high language and its usage, and cant comprehend that said interest affects others understanding of them.

i can confirm that this happens, i was like him.

Last week, the Trump administration quietly released a sweeping new federal rule that would use funding threats to force institutions across the country to reject transgender people. The 400-page proposed regulation would codify the administration's anti-trans executive orders into binding federal policy, imposing a blanket prohibition on federal funds going toward "gender ideology"

The proposed rule, formally titled "Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance," rewrites the government-wide framework governing all federal grants across every agency. Among its most consequential provisions, it requires that before a federal grant recipient can receive money, the award must pass a "pre-issuance review" conducted by a political appointee—not a career expert or peer reviewer—to ensure it is "consistent with applicable law, Federal agency priorities, and the national interest." The regulation explicitly instructs these appointees to screen for "denial by the recipient of the sex binary in humans or the notion that sex is a chosen or mutable characteristic." [...] An institution that acknowledges transgender people exist—through its policies, its training, its healthcare, its bathroom access, its HR procedures, its name-change processes—could be deemed to "deny the sex binary" or to “support the notion that sex is mutable” and have its federal funding blocked.
