He gingerly took the rifle from her, looking it over for a moment before nodding ; once again finding himself thankful that -- back at the outdoor camp -- Allison had taught him to shoot when his wolf abandoned him. “Thank you.”

“Don’t worry your pretty little face about it -- my eyes are always peeled,” he told her, a smirk on his lips as he tipped his head to look out the window for a moment. “Go get some rest, Allison --” he then said, voice softer and more genuine. “I’ve got it from here.”

“That’s a good thing, right?” Jackson asked, leaning against the wall beside the window Allison had been perched by. 

“ – so, no one finding anything weird with the past few days?”

“You mean like reliving an old memory or that mirror hanging in the common area?”

“ -- the freaky ass old mirror, yeah.”

“No, I am too, but…it’s a good weird.”

“As long as it isn’t to kill us. Or distract us. Or separate us. Or all of the above. Or worse.”
