“It’s the New Year. Hard to believe that all this shit started back in May.”

“It seems like it’s been years”.

“Did they look threatening at all?”  He knew obviously there would be other people alive, but that didn’t mean they were innocent.

“Happy Birthday.

Derek turns his head and looks at his sister, he had almost forgotten. “I’d..almost forgot..haven’t celebrated in years”.

“ — where did these even come from?”

"I wish I knew".

“What is all of this?” 

“Someone really enjoying fucking with us all”.

“I didn’t think I’d ever be excited for Christmas again.” 

“You look like a puppy”.

Derek has a sort of sad smile on his face, "me either..but I'm glad he didn't lose them". Even if it made his chest ache when he thought of him.

“What the hell is with the stupid mirror?” Stuart grumbled, unsure of what exactly the point of it was or where it had come from. All he knew was that looking into it had left him feeling a mixture of sadness and irritation, but it seemed like that wasn’t the case for most of the pack. 

“It’s something magical..that’s about all I can tell”.

“Food, lights, ammunition… Only two things could make this Christmas better.”

“Yes, this guys’ parents”.

“Is- Is it okay…. if I start talking again?”

“I don’t see why it wouldn’t..”.
