(Bold names are the people currently in danger before renoms)

1) Dee - Just in the best position imo. Strategic, social, competitively strong. I could see the end game tripping her up tho.

2) Rick - In a very great spot, trusted by a lot of people, but his target (as it always does in survivor) will likely balloon the longer we go.

3) Barrett - Has a lot of allies on all sides and isn’t seen as too much of a threat. Even if he gets put up he has the votes to stay.

4) Melody - Call me an overly-optimistic Melody truther, but she’s smart, has numbers on the outside (could pull Drew closer if he survives this week) and is decent at manoeuvring. She’s ready to cut people and make moves and hopefully we see more of that later into the game.

5) Angela - In a good spot, but I feel like it’s going to fizzle out as her paranoia creeps back. Her social bonds have stopped improving outside the Crossovers and if the icons are all nominated together she’s likely in the most danger.

6) Taylor - I think she’s well connected and good at the game, but makes a few mistakes here and there that leads to her never being in a solid position. I don’t think she’ll go home too soon but she needs to find some permanent allies (that she can beat in final 2) quick.

7) Lyric - Not seen as a threat, yet well liked throughout the house. Socially she could make it very far easily, but she wouldn’t have the strategy to win over a jury in final 2.

8) Yash - Relatively clueless but does consider moves and is sitting decently in the middle, which is good considering he was target number 1 week 1. I don’t think it’s enough to win but he could make a decent final 8-7 run.

9) Drew - Good at the game, but blinded by the Toolshed and not very perceptive. His game is more exposed than he knows.

10) Mallory - Liked, and good at comps, but flounders a little. Melody and Lyric would need to survive in order to get far and both seem in trouble this week. Mallory will be a long term house target and making it to final 2 will be difficult.

11) Kamu - Becoming a bigger target post tea party and will most of the house/outsiders are looking at Chogmu as the next noms. He’s only above the others because he might beat them in a jury vote.

12) La Trice - Sadly, not playing much of a game and is becoming an easy pawn star.

13) Chuk - House furniture.

You better believe my entire Bluesky timeline was THRILLED to see Jason (this week’s backdoor plan) got picked for veto. Sadly he did not win (congrats Lyric) and must now rely on the Blockbuster to save himself.

But! My thoughts going into the second half of the week are that Jason is doing a good job pitching himself to the vets/Toolshed. Whether they are feeling his vibe idk, but you see with players like Angela, Keanu, and Kelley that, even when they are massive targets, they can still last a while. I have a feeling that if Jason can win this blockbuster he might be able to find some momentum.

Melody Appreciation Post

I’ve been iffy on Melody and Mallory in this house. Sort of back and forth on whether I think they’ll do well or leave in the next few weeks. But these past few days have cemented for me that Mallory is the goat of the season.

Whereas Melody, if she can survive this house divide, is a seriously underrated pick to win the game.

For Mallory, this is based on her saying she’s going to call on Barrett on playing the middle, only to go and spill a lot of very important information to him hours late. Information that should seal Rome’s fate in the game, which I don’t believe she wanted.

For Melody, this is based on a conversation she had with Devens a few minutes ago. In order to ensure the veto is used on herself, she has, effectively, sold out all of Rome, Jason, and Lyric (possibly even Mallory, though I may have missed it. Thanks Pluto Ads.) She was going through saying she doesn’t like them and doesn’t want to work with them any more. This is a much more successful version of what she was trying to do in Week 1 with Mallory - she is distancing herself from major house targets, and she seems to be floating more towards the vets, like Devens and Dee, and Drew.

My introduction to Big Brother was Ethanimale’s video on Jun Song, and Melody is playing a similar game. Dumping allies when they stop benefitting her. She knows when to jump ship and which ship to jump to. I really hope we get to see Melody play the game for a long time, because I think we’d get to see some cutthroat moves from her, she’s clearly got the ruthlessness in her.

As someone who has only watched live feeds and review channels and not the episodes. (Time reference: Thursday 16th July, before the first live eviction)

Dee: MASTERCLASS in BB gameplay/1st HOH reign. Like, that’s how it’s done. So much information has been brought to her, she made a great decision with her nominations (mitigating as much heat from her by making the smallest possible moves and “playing fair”), and, best of all, spending the whole week planning ahead and making sure she is surrounded by allies, larger targets, and house enemies. Her rant to the cameras about how everyone thinks she’s stupid will be remembered a lot when she takes the win this season, because it sums up how well she’s been playing. Seeing her with Rick and Angela has been so great to watch, and her budding friendship with Barrett is lovely too.

Rick: Also setting himself up to go far, making sure that there are more targets around him, and keeping the fellow vets close by as shields. Setting the stage for a deep run.

Angela: Playing surprisingly well! Been heart-warming to see how much more comfortable she is this time around. Though there is a spiral waiting to happen, especially given her finding out about Jason’s scheming, but she is making a lot of deliberate choices to avoid being BB26 Angela again. She has a great social game right now but remains a decent target, though I think people may take the shot at Devens and Dee before her if they’re looking for a vet to leave.

Barrett: Probably best game of all the newbies right now. Aligned with the power and comfortable throughout the house I believe. Probably going to make it far.

Drew: Same with Barrett, except he is leaking a LOT of information and I could see him getting in a little trouble moving forward, especially with the vets already starting to not trust him as much.

Jason: Was SO EXCITED TO SEE SALINA ESTITTIES on here. But he is very lucky to have had immunity this week because he is going way too hard for the vets and is way too open about playing way too hard. I would bet on him being a pre-jury boot at this point, especially considering that this is all happening alongside not being crazy insulated in the house structure.

Rome: Was not excited to see Rome (Betas and Submissives) but he’s growing on me slightly? He’s hot. Ok yeah. Whatever. Kill me or whatever, he’s hot. Seems to have a good few connections through the house, but I wouldn’t bet on him winning or making it too deep into the game.

Lyric: Furniture atm I fear. Could easily be taken out sometime soon if someone wanted to take a shot at Rome.

Kamu: Sigh. Hate. The AI glazing. The religion debating. The traditional woman yearning. He believes he’s in a great spot but it’s calming to know that, in reality, his trio/gaming is completely obvious and the vets are only keeping him as an annoying shield.

Haley/Thog: Being called Thog is wild, and I love calling her that.

Chuk: Again, great he got immunity, but he could be seeing the block in the coming weeks just on being so obviously aligned to Thog and Kamu. It’s funny thinking that they’re calling themselves The Red Corner, meanwhile everyone in the fandom is calling them Thogmu. Lol.

La Trice: Was very excited for her and her social game is great. She needs to leverage her bonds for strategic reasons, though, and her telling people she was throwing the next HOH probably wasn’t a great move. I see her having a long stretch of no comp wins, or noms, then being taken out about week 5-7. She’s very liked, but she does nothing to hide her strengths, so she could be a quieter player’s “big move” in a few weeks. (Think, like, Barrett wins HOH and targets LaLa, nothing saying 100% that would even happen, just to make his presence known and take out someone who is a reasonable threat).

Taylor: Gaming hard once she pulled herself together (good on her for that) but is looking like a possible target if Yash wins the blockbuster. Also, not a fan of her comments about the IEP students. I could totally see her being a come-from-behind gamer, similar to Ashley, if she stays and taking control going into the mid game if she’s able to build some stronger bonds with people.

Melody, Mallory, Ashley, and Yash: Don’t have many opinions on them right now.

I got rly heated over Aubry for some reason bc I was outside of the fan love for her. But literally no need. Everyone in the final 5 is playing well and I think respect the winner even if we were hoping for Cirie, Rick, Ozzy etc.

Girl. The celebs. Too much.

Did not need to be 26 days. I think that the shortness of the new era works for an 18 person cast. It was too little for 24 people and too many ppl got cut from the edit and the game in all the split tribals (which i love, but 3?)
