not to play devil’s advocate but to me, it seems as if you’re getting your money’s worth out of that gorgeous handbag. you’ve found multiple uses for it already, so have you broken your resolution? I don’t think so. as for me, I definitely have. but I just can’t help myself when there are way too many shows to pick up and start.

I welcome devil’s advocate with open arms, considering it goes with my bad influence persona on these types of things! You have no idea how happy that makes me and my bag and I are feeling pretty loved because of it. Hopefully there aren’t any resolution police out there or I may just have to have you as my witness. Listen, TV shows are a weakness to all, me included if they keep putting them out there we’re just gonna have to keep watching them even all at once right?

That is a gorgeous handbag you have! I love to go thrift store shopping and maybe one day we could go. I haven’t broken any really because for me staying sober for the past 9 years is the biggest one ever.

Shopping with Florence from Florence and the Machine?! Name the time and place and I will be right there with a real cheery smile. I am more than happy to fix you up a nice beautiful handbag for sure! Wow 9 years is an amazing accomplishment, massive congratulations to you! That wins over any resolution to me.

i got a thing for footballs ~ like i have several and i have to train with them all equally otherwise i get this sinking notion that one of my balls is going to feel left out or like it’s inferior to the others, you know? anyways, my dog accidentally deflated one the other day and ‘m pretty grief-stricken about it. personally blame pixar for making me believe inanimate objects have an emotional integrity. your bag sounds great & probably one of the better things to grow an affinity for logistically if it ever does turn into a ‘im in love with my car’ type a’ deal. i got a new tattoo within a week of the new year so mine was out the window pretty fast. can’t wait for my nan to see it and physically assault me with another dishcloth and hot, soapy water.

Footballs are awesome though, especially since they’re small and can’t take up so much room. I think that’s actually adorable that you don’t want your balls to feel left out, that’s exactly how I feel with my other bags, always gotta take turns on which one I used for the day so the other’s don’t get sad. Can you really blame him though? His name is Pixar and that’s a completely adorable excuse to have. Though I would feel very in grief if my dog chewed on my handbag so I kind of feel you on that. If it ever does become one of those situations I feel like I would probably wear it with pride when they shoot a YouTube video of me, maybe not as obsessed as the guy was with his car though. Tattoos are cool! What did you get? If it’s somewhere that can’t easily be hidden I am sure I have some great foundation and powder to lend you for hiding it if you need.

Is it really an “un-wise” purchase if it brings so much joy and diaper space ? personally, i think that’s a steal and essential if you ask me, especially if you’ve possibly thrifted Mary Poppins bag ── easy, simple, i’m going with my morning iced coffee. Before the utter nosiness under my household activates, the first quiet hour of the morning is pretty freakin’ joyful when i’m not being called mom. If it helps, i’ve failed by not setting anything, so there that. 

Jeans. Can I be obsessed with blue jeans? I wear them everywhere unless I’m wrestling and have to wear trunks. They’re comfortable, they’re rugged and you can get down on your knees tending to your garden without feeling any little rocks under you. Yes, I have a garden or did till winter came.

I think jeans absolutely count! I wouldn’t see why not, plus jeans are comfortable as hell especially the mom jeans I wear so I will give you that. I love it though, from a wrestler to a garden I think it’s sweet! I really do need to become a plant mom when the winter ends, what kind of stuff did you grow?

i wouldn’t say that i get so obsessed with an object that it consumes me, but i do love a good shopping spree. but who doesn’t love a good bag? they’re useful and fashionable, so there’s no harm in that! and you’re getting good use out of it so there’s nothing to feel guilty about. i’d say you didn’t break your resolution because it was a wise purchase! i dont bother making resolutions i know myself well enough to know they’ll never stick. 

Shopping sprees are so contagious for me, I should never go on them because I always end up buying more than I need and I still love it. I really appreciate you saying that. Exactly, I am sure it’ll last be a while or at least I hope it does because if it breaks I am pretty sure my heart might too. So basically you’re saying that my resolution list is still going well? Thank god. I think you’re pretty smart for that if I am honest, I am really considering not doing one next year.

Does my bed count? No better place to be, if you ask me! I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself for breaking your resolutions. You went to a thrift store and discovered the bag, so for one, it wasn’t too expensive. And for another, you can’t help if you fell in love with it on first sight! I’m curious, though, what do you think’s the history of the bag? I’m the same when I shop for bowling bags. I keep buying them, knowing I already have enough. They’re just too pretty. I haven’t broken my New Year’s resolution… yet. But, I would love to get another dog at some point. Holding off, though, since I just moved in with my boyfriend, and I’m already taking a couple of dogs into the relationship. 

I definitely think it counts because I am pretty obsessed with mine! The safest place on earth right? Now these are the words I needed to hear and I am so blessed you said them so thank you for that. Hmm, maybe an older woman owned it and had to give it up because someone made her? But when she had it, it made her feel so whole. I like to think some sweet cheesy story is attached to it somehow like that. Yeah? There is nothing at all wrong with buying bowling backs, they’re both handy and pretty! I should get one for myself... Let me play the devil on your shoulder for a quick second - get another dog. Trust me once you do you’ll be wondering why you didn’t get it sooner and I am sure your boyfriend will love it as much as you, if not more!

I’m obsessed with the Pittsburgh Steelers and all my merch of theirs.Something new comes out and I have to have it. I’m sure they all think I’m nuts but they put up with me when I go to games.

God, I hadn’t even thought about being obsessed with merch. But now that you brought it up I love it! You’re allowed to be nuts and if you keep getting them as soon as they come out, they all gotta notice eventually right? You will surely get some recognition from them!

I’m obsessed with my wife and dogs but not any material thing. I’m probably obsessed with work but again nothing material. I think most thing like that I can take it or leave it. I didn’t make a resolution other than to be the best wife possible and support her in every way.

I’ll take spouses and animals as an answer because that’s real cute. And I am obsessed with working as well so those are perfect answers and I am satisfied. Your wife sounds like a very lucky woman and I 100% support your only resolution.

I’m obsessed with vinyl records and have a collection of them. I know people think it’s silly but they sound so much better. I didn’t make a resolution since I can’t keep them.

Vinyl records? I love it. They remind me of those aesthetically pleasing images you find on the internet. Those people can suck it because I don’t think it’s silly one bit! You’re incredibly smart for not making any resolutions, you get massive props for that.

I was going to be cheesy and say; my girlfriend, but then read object, and that idea went out of the window - like my laptop the other day. Anyway, now I got a brand-new laptop and wow, so fresh, so fast, so clean. I dig it. Isn’t a resolution to break all made resolutions? It’s why I chose to pick none this time. It doesn’t help to talk to me either because I keep telling people that they should treat themselves. Anyway, treat yourself; money needs to roll. 

No you definitely shouldn’t think that. However I will give you props for thinking about your girlfriend when I started talking because it’s sweet! Dare I ask what happened to your laptop though? Because I am indeed sorta intrigued. I totally can relate to that though, something techy is definitely like a breath of fresh air when you get a newer version I have that with countless amounts of phones. I can’t say I have ever heard of that? But that is my brand new resolution and I love it. Why thank you! Can you just say it louder for the people in the back? For those people who says you should spend your money wisely. You know, the unfun people.

Oh I have a few times. I can’t help it especially when I buy something new that I’ve been looking forward to. Oh I have that with my own bag. I love it so much and even got a little hello kitty key chain that I attached to it as well. I take it with me everywhere, even on tour. Ooo, I love that you can put so many things in yours, it makes it even better honestly. I mean, I break mine all the time. I can’t make one with money since I buy things to spoil others all the time. It’s makes me happy to do so. I have even thought to stop making resolutions since I break the ones I decide I want to pursue haha.

I totally get it. So many new things in stores to get so excited about, and even adding onto the excitement when you get to take it home. You do? Oh my god I need to get my own cute little keychain for it, surely I’ll be taking it everywhere. A bag that can do multiple things is a complete godsend let me tell you! You’re actually pretty smart for not making any resolutions with money, I think I might have to keep that in mind for next time otherwise I will forever fail. No I completely understand this and trust me I wouldn’t be surprised if next year neither of us made any!

Yes! I mean I was still in the studio and doing music videos, making appearances but I was ready to get back on the tour and just see all my fans again. Oh I love spending time with Adeya, hugging on her and spending time with herm I think she’s tired of me now. I wrote 2022 on a document yesterday, I was shook.

I have never related with someone more, just that feeling of getting out and feeling active with work. The holidays will do that to you I think. It’s quite funny but I am sure both our daughters will appreciate these moments when they’re older, at least that’s what I say to myself when Atlas tells me to stop smothering her because she just wants to play with her toys. Right?! I don’t think it’ll hit that the 2 is a 3 in 2023 until at least the middle of the year I suspect.

I get that, I have an actual medical book on anatomy that I was given by my ex in-laws that has a special place in my heart.  I know I have not really been on the show in forever, it was the thought that counts though at the time.  We all have things like that.  Now when it comes to bags and things for when my kids were younger, I have a few of those still that I still use.  To be honest, I have not made any resolutions in years and I have been happier cause of it.  Any other resolutions you made that you have not broken yet?  

Listen, grey’s anatomy is an amazing show so I completely support your love for that book. I think that if you’ve been apart of a show before doesn’t matter how long or short, you’re still allowed some memorabilia from it! I have a small collection of things from PLL, You and I bet I’ll be taking some stuff from Dollface for sure! You’re much wiser than me then, I think I might quit making resolutions next year. Luckily none just yet! My daughter Atlas will probably be making sure that I don’t since I don’t think she’ll be very pleased when she sees my bag.

Speaking if the being in love with your car thing, have you seen the lady who’s in a relationship with fair rides? That one really threw me for a loop, and one of the craziest my strange obsession episodes I’ve ever seen! But I didn’t necessarily make any resolutions but I said to myself that I wasn’t gonna spend way too much money at the beginning of the year and much like you did, I definitely broke it. Oops – treat yourself, I guess?

Oh my gosh, no?! Fair rides? I mean I could kinda see it but then again wouldn’t you get so sick after being on a couple? I need to see this for myself, that’s definitely going on my watchlist. Listen I feel like resolutions sorta remind us of rules and some rules were made to be broken just like our resolutions. I hold absolutely no judgements, I say free the purse and all the more money to spend while treating ourselves but then again I might be a bad influence right?

That sounds like a good buy to me, holds all the important stuff! I stopped making resolutions a few years ago. Because I could never stick to them. Does a dog fit in that category? I was going to say my lucky underwear but I really only start thinking about those during award season.

You know I think I might actually do that too, everytime I take a peek at my resolutions list... It’s normally when I am making a new one for the next year. Probably with the size of my big girl, no but if I tried really hard then surely I could fit her up to her torso maybe? Listen lucky underwear is a very important thing to be obsessed with I don’t judge you for that.

i understand this feeling completely. kinda feel it every time i hit up a store and find the right cowgirl boots. sure, i have about fifty pairs in my closet already - all different kinds, colors, styles - but sometimes you come across a pair that just scream your name. so why not buy them? especially when you can get them much cheaper than the regular stores where they can be up to a grand. could swing that amount but i’m cheap, a bargain is my best friend. now i need to tell me about this shop you found your bag so i can go scope it out and see if they have any boots i can get my hands on. how goes it, girl? how are the babies? haven’t seen you or them in ages, feels too long!

And you already know how much I have always loved your cowgirl boots. That’s exactly how I felt about my bag! I swear if it could talk all it would be saying would be “Shay you know you need me and I need you.” Right?! Since Atlas started getting into playing with actual toys I find myself always entering them, there’s something for everyone and there’s so much memorabilia to each thing you could buy. Listen let me take you to all my favorite thrift stores and I am more than happy to compliment how great you look in your boots. It’s so good, motherhood can be stressful but all part of the best process. Gorgeous as ever, they’re definitely missing their aunt Lucy as am I! Patiently waiting for my Lucy fix.
