Yaotl hated how she mocked the "noble" service they were offered, sacrificing themselves for the good of the country. While those responsible stayed inside their cozy mansions.
Meanwhile, Aster thought it sad, even pathetic, just how badly they had messed with his mind to make him believe those lies disguised as patriotism.
After some ups and downs, they ended up falling in love.
The result of slipping away from duty was the surprise of a pregnancy, leading to the birth of little Meztli, who would later become known as Taura.
Unfortunately, that bed of roses eventually drying with the tragic death of Aster, who passed away in an accident months after Meztli was born.
With his mind consumed by grief and despair, Yaotl ultimately decided to give his daughter to the orphanage.
(A decision that still haunts him.)
Facts:
-Aster's family is from Spain but migrated to Mexico when she was young.
-Contrary to appearances, Yaotl is quite secure in his masculinity; he even wears earrings gifted to him by Aster when he’s off duty.
-With her fangs, Aster liked to joke that he came from Dracula's lineage, even going so far as to tease about biting. Yaolt still bears the marks.
-Yaolt is socially awkward when it comes to flirting.
