Because, as it so happened, the ability to heal at an accelerated rate also flowed through his veins, the catch being that it acted much slower than others with the same ability, encouraging a cautious approach. "But speaking of empowered beings, I'm trying to track down someone myself."

"Evening." At the same moment that he had been tempted to ask for directions, he'd spotted the ice cream stand from a few blocks away, and made way to visit it, by foot as opposed to dangling from a thread of silk, in full costume.

After all, his aim was to gather information, and not accidentally scare off the stand's sole proprietor.

Once in position, a quick glance sees him gather the necessary details, gaze lingering over the 'no-fighting' sign for a few seconds longer than required, before turning his hidden, garnet sights on the blue-eyed stranger.

capitalism at its finest that even the employees can't have a normal life, but this is what he chose for himself. to be useful, to be something that relied on people outside of his own family, after all no normal business would hire a mutant with such a visible mutation. Not unless he got lucky or was part of some super hero group.
