SERPENTINE

I shall rot in the back of your mind,

in the graveyard of the words that died on your tongue.

And you'll get yourself twisted in my thoughts,

as I haunt your soul.

Turn off my mind i beg you

It keeps singing in woe

Pulling a virgin string

I hear a terrible shriek from below

I feel my bones straining beneath

Everything i hide inside me

I hear the sirens singing a song

And they sing till my ears bleed

I am hollow from inside

It's cold, dark and empty like the night

And i find things to fill up the void

Greed, disgust and envy twist inside me, like a knife

A barren land is all i am

I am the tragedy that i write

I am a hero damned

A fallen kingdom in sight

I'll fight till i run out of reasons

I'll fight for every hoax i believe in

My head will be blooded Yet remain unbowed

I will fight until I'm proud
