I believe that the American AI bubble will pop, but China (with open-weight AI) seems to be profitable, at least temporarily, but that doesn't matter if they're just vomiting out hallucinated slop.

We can capitalise on that by creating our own community of writers, artists and musicians; there are two main reasons that publishing houses, music labels and companies are so important for success, and that is because they have funding and connections; we just need to become that funding and connections.

Easier said than done, I'm aware.

If we become our own connections, in which writers can hire artists to illustrate their book covers, writers and screenwaters, and musicians for animation projects, writers to help musicians songwrite, we can prosper. Marketing, is where massive companies have an advantage (one of), is much easier done, with the creation of the internet, especially as anti-AI social medias are popping up, such as Haven, and others (do not trust or post your work on Bluesky, they run their content through AI), and instead of massive companies shunting, and trying to cut us out, we can do it back to them.

We don't have to settle for less, where writers get between 10% - 2% of profits from their books, or artists being pushed to extremes, or where musicians can't break into popular media.

We can create what we want to, and don't have to be tied down by censorship or trends.

We do this, and create spaces where artists all of kinds don't have work under the oppressive thumbs of companies, then large companies and publishers who rushed to embrace and swallow AI slop for efficiency and costs, and turned their backs on us, will face the consequences of their actions, as they experience the reality check that AI can only function for so long without constant, fresh human input, and the snake eats its own tail.

If we close ranks, as a community leave AI out to dry by refusing to interact or buy anything related, we can survive, and live comfortably in the knowledge that we and what we create is better than any perspectiveless, muse-lacking AI slop.

Generative AI poisoning is happening as we speak, and the issue will accelerate and spiral out of control, as AI models collapse when trained on three generations of synthetic data; we can worse the issue by using Nightshade, Glaze, and placing red-herrings throughout the internet they rely on.

Perhaps, smaller, specialised systems can function on information not sourced on the internet, but if they want to improve or start to get used en mass, then they'll have to drink from the poisoned well.

The desperation from Anthropic, OpenAI, and other companies is obvious, considering the lengths they're going to for clean training data.

While, open-weight AI may be cheap for now, if AI lovers begin to use it en mass, costs will increase, especially if they use it for complicated tasks like book, image and video generation.
