it’s okay to slow down

The fun thing about “gender bent” designs is thinking of how these characters perform/present their gender and how that would translate to AFAB instead of AMAB.

Ilya kind of presents a little “straight”, he’s big and muscley and masc presenting, could pass for a frat bro and does for years. So I think Liliya would perform hetero girl also, wanting muscles bc she’s an athlete but also wants to look snatched in a bodycon dress and likes doing her hair and makeup. Passes as a sorority girl and doesn’t mind it bc it’s fucking fun. They find comfort in presenting their gender assigned at birth bc they don’t really feel their gender presentation conflicts with the person they are.

For Shane, I think he’s a character that Is traditionally masc by virtue of the things he likes (sports and working out), but as a man, that’s not contradictory to his gender presentation. But as a woman that would be very contrary to performing “straight girl” so I think she would want muscles and want shorter hair but feel confined by trying to present as femme still and DEF NOT GAY. Probably more confined in her gender presentation than as a man. So she doesn’t let herself work out as much arms/legs so she still has “princess arms” and looks good in whatever clothes Yuna and the stylist give her. channels that into a LOT of cardio and core strengthening so she got ABS under there (you just can’t see them here shh)
