“I just want you to fulfil your promise.” He remarks, chuckling. Honestly, it was just nice to see somebody he didn’t work or live with. “Pfft, hey, don’t let me force you to do something you don’t want to—” his head shakes at her, picking up on the tease in her tone. “Yeah, minty, fresh—” He chuckles, is he really sat here defending his ice cream flavour? “Why, what do you suggest?” 

“you want free ice-cream” she teased. She didn’t mind being used,  hell if the positions were switched she would do the same, she sorta wanted to lie to herself and pretend like she would be more outright, but nah. Her face scrunched. “Toothpaste.” That was it, he was eating toothpaste. “Moose tracks, anything with chunks of chocolate or caramel waffle cone.”

Side eyeing her, he chuckles. “Easy now, you promised me ice cream.” What was he? Five? Still, he didn’t want to be the saddo thirty-six year old getting ice cream by himself, so by this point he was relying on Sharon coming through. “Mint chocolate is fresh.” He muses as his hand moves to start the ignition once she was sat comfortable, before pulling away from her house. “What do you suggest?” 

Sharon, grinned, a slow nod. “You must really want that ice cream, huh?” But so did she, and she was already out of the house, there was no point in withdrawing her offer. “Just go, you’re lucky I promised you.” She teased. Rolling her eyes, she leaned back into the seat. “Fresh?” That wasn’t at all what she looked for when choosing a flavor. “Something like Moose Tracks, that’s always good.”

Sharon: Oooh... well sucks for you then

Sharon: I'm coming for the dog lol

His lips were quick to curl into a smile, letting out a bit of a chuckle. He appreciated her little quip; it was very adorable, actually. “It would definitely bring in some business– I might have to get you to advertise it, just exactly as you said it.”

Seeing the dishes there pile up was a very annoying experience; Brandon considered himself a very clean person, so watching himself slip up every once in a while wasn’t fun. Though, he had been having some issues with his dishwasher, hoping that one of his handy clients would come by and check it out for him. If he could make a deal before officially hiring a professional, he would. Even better– he would have done it himself, but pluming wasn’t really his forte. 

“It does irk me– I just– I can’t even justify it. My dishwasher is busted right now, so I guess that’s an excuse. But after work, the last thing I want to do are my own dishes. Childish, I know, but–” He offered up a bit of a shrug.

A waiter slowly eased into view, greeting the two. Brandon just decided to go for his default, “May I just get a glass of water, and, um–” His eyes were quick to scan over the menu, just trying to find whatever the name was. “And the grilled veggie spinach wrap, please. With the sweet potato side, please.”

Sharon laughed, glad that even in her attempts to try and make sense, and it didn’t make sense regardless, but still, at least he found some hilarity in it. “You’d have to make them think it’s gonna be a lot more than they’d expect.”

“I- but doesn’t that just seem easier that you’d just not have to think about it?” She sighed lightly, “Can’t remember the last time I actually used a dishwasher, I should definitely think about at least breaking mine in.” It would save her time, maybe make her a little lazier, but in the grand scheme, it was better than nothing. And at least hers worked. “I get it though, you actually have to make an effort to do dishes and it’s kind of a lot of work.” She’d definitely felt that more times than less.

So much for remembering what she was ordering. Sharon gave the waiter a sheepish smile, “I’ll have what he’s having, assuming the sweet potato side is fries, yeah.”

“Glad to know someone gets it.. And.. I know what you mean.. I just.. Think I’m too.. forgiving? Or understanding and I know I get that from my dad..” she smiled and then let out a little coo. “Oh my god thats so adorable.. Thank you so much Sharon!” she beamed up at her “I feel like this is a hugging moment.!!”

She nodded and licked her lip “Well maybe I can have you around to help me from making those mistakes? it would be nice.. to have a woman to look up to.. I..I’m not really close with my mom..” she admitted.

“Forgiving is important though, that’s a skill that not enough people have. Honestly keep that same feelings, just make sure, you know.” She grinned. Sharon laughed, shaking her head, “I think I agree. You’re lucky I’m a hugger.”

His fingers drum lightly against the steering wheel of his car, his elbow resting against the rim of the open window, music playing from the radio, louder than normal, but not loud enough to cause disturbance to anyone around. “Don’t fret it.” He answers, chuckling at her rushing. Honestly, he wasn’t bothered, Luke had a tendency to be on time for things, but he was chilled enough not to care if they didn’t have quite as punctual. “If they’re sold out of mint choc we can’t be friends anymore though.” 

“Well then, lemme go back in” she joked, sliding into the seat. She fixed her shoes, glancing over at him as he talked about mint. Her face scrunched, “I’d be saving you from yourself.” Sharon shrugged. “Mint chocolate is like toothpaste with a sprinkle of something.” Shaking her head, she leaned back, seat belt fixed. “You deserve better than mint choc.”

Nathan: Totally. 😝

Nathan: That's a good point. But yes, I would like you to fill it out for me. Thanks. ;) :P

Nathan: Ohhh you know how I feel about brunch and lunch. We should get some food sometime, like, soon, if you want to.

Sharon: Lool well I'll take a payment in order to fill it out
