being snuggled under the blankets was the best feeling ever and wished she could stay this way for a long time. the fact classes were cancelled just made her life better in general. the only down side was people being killed, however. it was hard to get over that fact. she shook her head at him before replying, “i’m still surprised you were willing to watch frozen with me. and you know what that means? i’m totally making you watch frozen 2 once i get it on dvd.”

“I… I am… I’m awkward. I don’t know what to do or say or anything and I made even more of a mess of things when I ran into Zack, so I’m just waiting for me to do something else utterly stupid,” she admitted, rambling her thoughts out quickly. Her face flooded with color as usual. “I… I’m sorry for everything. I know the whole night was a mess and we were all drunk and stuff. I’m sorry if you regret it or hate me or something.”

inviting shane over for a movie night, the brunette felt like she needed it. it felt like months since she actually watched a disney movie with someone. she even had to see frozen 2 by herself. which she didn’t care, it was still a great movie in her eyes. she just wished someone would have tagged along with her. laying on her bed, she placed her hands under her head as she glanced over at the tv for a second before looking over at shane. “i’m really glad we’re doing this,” she mumbled.

When she looked up, her eyes immediately found the tall boy’s across the quad. Shane. After her awkward conversation and… other stuff with Zack, she knew she should probably have an actual talk with Shane, but that didn’t mean she wanted it to happen right away. She fought with herself as to whether she should run in the opposite direction and hide for a while longer or actually face him before she found herself right in front of him. “Oh um… Hi. How’s it going?” Gemma said awkwardly, tucking her hair behind her ear.

“so i was at a slam poetry thing because why not and one girl’s ‘poem’ was the freecreditreport.com jingle in morse code.” dean shook his head in disbelief. “honestly, it was the best performance that night.” 

liv felt like she was in a weird place of her life. she just didn’t really… know who she was anymore. because these days, being herself never felt like it was enough. did being a nice person make her boring? did everyone in school think that she was an airhead? it sucked how much liv valued other people’s opinions, and how negatively it could affect her own self esteem. maybe that’s why liv found herself at a lake right on the outskirts of campus, sitting in the grass in silence, throwing pebbles into the lake. it’s not as if anyone actually came to this area, so it was certainly to her surprise when she could hear footsteps in the grass behind her. she decided to not look back, her eyes facing the lake in front of her as she could hear the person yet closer and closer.

she opened her mouth slightly, wanting to argue, but let out a sigh instead. the girl scratched the back of her head as her eyes glanced downward to the floor. “will i ever get to know why you became distant?” eyes looked back up at his while pursing her lips. however, every time she considered reaching out, she didn’t. the moment she realized he didn’t want to talk as much, she assumed it was because she did something. talking to him now made her feel ten times better though. “i forgive you.” layla hesitated, but eventually asked, “so… what should we do now?”

                    “You and I both know that silly dance moves and all, we are possibly the best dancers here.” Sydney joked to her friend, laughing to herself as she thought back to some of their previous dance encounters. “Why of course you may.” She replied dramatically, smiling as she placed her hand in his. “Only if you think you can keep up with me though.”
