Tight Jeans

I've struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. The added 2 pounds would make me go ballistic and I would torture myself for the next few days. Binging, purging, excessive workout... you name it! My weight has been such a roller coaster, that I don't even bother buying new jeans anymore, because I don't know how long I'll fit in them. Can anyone relate?

People think it's a narcissistic disaster to constantly engage in food regimes over the added few pounds. But only I would know the war that's raging in my heart and mind. The numbers indicated on the scale is a reflection of the constant struggle that seems unending but avoidable. Moment's of victories occur when the digits go lower, and a sense of indelible pride accounts for the optimism of the day. It is painful being a girl?!

But as I cruise through another day, weather the scale may show a +1 or -1, I will be thankful for the life I've been given and repeat the following words.

"I'm as beautiful today as I will ever be, because I was crafted with care and love"

I refused to be consumed by the alternatives presented by today's fashionable society. I'm accountable to myself and to the one who made me, so I will embrace how I look now, and tell myself I'm pretty. So, I will buy new jeans, and If it fit's me no longer, then I will buy another pair! You with me?!
