or mostly known as Shad, her past is lenghty so imma be as direct as I can to make it short lmao.
mother Chinese, Father English, 3 of them live in China.
mother died, father depressed, 2 of them moved to a rural place in england.
father is mentally challanged so he abandon little Shad in that said village, authorities reached out to her relatives from her father's side.
unwilling but still go to pick her up, while they were there lil Shad discover ancient magic by healing a cat's wound, and omg a witness!
so she got dragged and was about to get head chooped by an axe but thankfully escaped, leaving her cheek with an open wound.
apparently the cat followed her so she walk mindlessly with her, from sneaking into trains, sleeping in alleyways before someone found them and decided to take care of them.
Orphanage
well after exposed to such events, who will end up normal? not her!
after she was taken care and put into an orphanage, she's mostly unresponsive or defensive. making her as a 'troublemaker'
so she ended up transfered from one orphanage to another and so on so on.
in her last Orphanage, she wasn't able to get so many friend beside a woman (caretaker) there who is patient enough to understand her, because she's a 'troubled' kid.
although she met Ash there, getting cornered by a bunch of kids, she originally wanted to ignore them but remembered one of the kids messes with her cat the other day, so, a punch landed.
and then they started to bond! with her sticking to him and him wanting to be left alone.
Mrs Fig
they met in the woods, with Shad trying to recreate a bow and arrow from that one book Ash read, and ended up with Miriam escort her back to the Orphanage.
being a nuisance Shad is, she started to appear more and more into Miriam's life, either in a quiet normal road to the top of the damn tree for some reason.
Magic
Miriam accidentally witness Shad use ancient magic when she was falling from ruins in the woods, from then on she take the initiative to teach her how to use magic so she wouldn't end up in such dark places.
being Shad, she of course tells Ash about it! from then on the 2 of them start to learn magic secretly, mostly with Shad trying to repeat what Miriam teach her.
Adopted
Her existence is loud and hard to be ignored, also Miriam grew to like her a lot, so she introduced Shad to Eleazar and from then on they started to grew closer to the point of those two making decision of adopting her.
Enrollment
Originally, the two of them wanted to enroll Shad to Hogwarts so she could get the proper education, but knowing her behaviour around new people, they decided to give her time.
unfortunately Miriam death came around, surprisingly, Shad decided to pay them back and started to take care of Eleazar, delaying her enrollment even more.
Reunion
When Shad met Ash in Hogwarts, she doesn't recognize him.
well how could she, the dude grew like a tree and look totally different than the nerd she once knew!
but after some time, with Ash confessing that he is in fact, her friend, they once again bonded.
Fun Fact: it probably took her the whole semester to actually feel familiar with the place, so yeah, she was lost almost every week in her own damn school.
