So those who know Wyanne’s design might know she has monolids, which is a trait primarily found in East or Northeast Asians and Indigenous Americans. And though I don’t have monolids, I have inner double eyelids, which kinda looks like monolids if you don’t look too closely.

I’ve been looking for Wyanne’s face claim lately, and like many I start with actresses or models. I cannot find a single picture on Google, a single pin on Pinterest, where the Asian girl has inner double eyelids or monolids. The first thing that pops up when I look up “monolid asian girl” is an ad promoting eyelid surgery where you can go get your eyelids done. I’ve clicked into them before, long ago, and the results look crazy good.

Now, I’m not shaming anyone who favours visible eyelids. You do you, I support that; if you feel pretty or think what you create is pretty, I think it’s pretty too.

I’m just voicing my opinion, but seeing my friends talking about getting eyelid surgery in the future, seeing almost every model and actress having visible double eyelids, having my own mother tell me I should go get surgery—it makes me sad.

Traditionally, in Ancient China, monolids were a sign of beauty. Monolids and inner eyelids are a result of Epicanthal folds, from Mongolian heritage, which supposedly evolved to protect the eyes from extreme cold, snow, strong winds, or bright snow-glare. While I don’t really know if it actually works like that, I think epicanthal folds, monolids, and inner double eyedlids are such a beautiful and unique trait. No one else but we have this, it feels so cool! But seeing newer generations wanting to erase it, calling it ugly and unfashionable makes me feel extremely sad.

Is this internalised racism? Idk. But it kinda feels like it.

Praise my mum for giving me a sister, I can steal borrow her stylus :D

Anyway I saw a fruit & vegetable stand selling small pumpkins today and thought of Emcy and then THIS popped into my head.

PS: if anyone wonders why Wyanne is called “Shorty” even tho she’s pretty average height (for an Asian), it’s cause she surrounds herself with people who are terribly tall (at least 175 cm):

So i’ve gotta ship the broken stylus back to the seller, and I have to order a new stylus from another seller, because the first seller will not ship a new stylus to me until they get the old stylus back.

So I still get my money back, yay for that

I reversed the drawing and forgot to reverse it back…So just imagine he’s talking to himself in a mirror lol.

And while I can understand why they say that, and I’ve seen many creators being very against Gen AI, I’ve also seen other creators creating stuff with the help of Gen AI. Whether it’s songs or AI audios (there’s a LOT on Yotube) and, honestly, they all seem like tools for artists to realise their imaginations. This contradicts with what the people against it say, unless I’m misinterpreting something.

Now, I’m not saying I’m siding with either side. I know it’s always a bad thing when you’re too extreme on one side of a spectrum, but I wanna know your opinion.
