Hank needs to be brought back and Doc will be there. Hank doesn't need Doc to bring themselves back, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have an easier and trusted method to rely on. Doc doesn't need Hank to do all he does, but having insight into and a grasp on an individual so deeply intrenched into everything else must be an almost inspiring force.
