Henry Creel is a man cursed with a hatred for the world and a love for his family so strong it can only lead to one thing… chaos. Luckily for him, Y/N is his wife and she decides to stick by him anyways, as her love for him is just as mad as he is.

Warnings: It’s quite a lighthearted fic, only henry threatens a kid and there’s a bit of a suggestively 18+ line towards the end. Domesticated Henry Creel but he’s still crazy.

If people like it and I’m feeling inspired enough I do have a longer second chapter planned.

“Hello, my name is Henry.” Henry spoke gently towards a little boy in his daughter's preschool. “I’d like to talk to you, come round.” He led the boy to a more secluded spot. His tone became more harsh. “I heard… you’ve been causing a little girl some trouble.”

“What? Did Alice tell you that? She’s a liar.” The guilty boy immediately jumped to his own defence.

“Nope. She didn’t tell me. The monsters did, they’ve been watching you.” Henry responded, an uncanny smile plastered on his face.

“Monsters? I’m 7 years old, not 5! Monsters aren’t real.” This boy was quite the character. Henry didn’t want to take this any further but he decided he had to.

Henry slowly formulated his hand into a dark twig-like monstrous claw.

“You see I know they’re real… because I am one.” He looked the boy in the face but did not meet his eyes, as the boy was frozen staring at the claw before him.

The boy’s face dropped.

“So, my fellow monster friends have agreed to keep an eye on you. Everytime you see a shadow outside your window… that’s probably one of them. If they catch you being mean to Alice or any other children again….” Henry whispered this last part, “We’re going to get you.”

Henry left walked away as if nothing happened, leaving the little boy stunned and fearing for his life, which he considered a job well done.

Alice, Henry’s daughter, was waiting around the corner for him. Little did he know she had watched the whole situation unravel and unfortunately for Henry, as he raised her, she had a deep disgust for lies, and a knack for never hiding anything from her parents.

A few hours after Henry had brought the kids home from school, he entered the kitchen to see his wife Y/N with Alice, and their younger daughter Ivy beside her. To his delight they were in the middle of baking a cake.

Before Henry could comment on the adorable scene before him, Y/N spotted him enter.

“Girls, mummy needs to talk to daddy. Why don’t you both go upstairs and play? I'll put the cakes in the oven.” Y/N requested of them.

“Okay Mama but please call us down when the cakes are ready! We’d love to help you decorate.” Alice left her only request and ran up the stairs with Ivy.

Henry stood still, hands folded in front of him. He was almost scared to move.

Silence followed until the girls were surely upstairs.

“What have I told you about pulling your monster form out in PUBLIC let alone to CHILDREN?” Y/N began.

A heavy silence followed her words.

Henry knew she was right to be mad… but sometimes extreme measures had to be taken.

“Well clearly since I’ve had to do this more than once I am not the problem. It might be the kids these days; they're the real monsters.” Henry attempted to lighten the air.

Y/N still did not look impressed so his eyes found their way to the floor, which he found easier to look at than Y/N’s disappointed expression.

She continued to stare him down, only now she was struggling to stop her amusement from surfacing.

“He was bullying our little girl. I just wanted to scare him a little.” Henry defended his actions, his eyes still on the tiled floor.

Y/N’s voice remained soft with him. “I know but there are proper methods to use with a 7 year old bully. You don’t go full monster mode on them.” She explained.

“Well, what’s the point in being able to do that if I can’t use it for good, darling. You know how these institutions work. You can follow the proper channels but they never solve anything. So, I had to make sure he never dared to pick on my little girl again.” Henry finally looked up and could see the loving glint in his wife’s eyes. He slowly walked closer. “Or else next time… he might find a monster under his bed…..” Henry crept ever closer to Y/N and waved his hands in her face, “Boo!”.

Y/N giggled. “Henry please this is serious. I just…. I don’t want you to get caught up in any funny business. Or for our kids to be known in Hawkins as the devil’s spawn.” Her face inched closer as she spoke, never breaking the eye contact he had taught her to hold so well. “However… I appreciate how much you love our girls.” She held his face in her hands. “You’re quite the hero Henry Creel. Even if your methods are a little… corrupt and unconventional. I know we’re in safe hands with you.” She scanned his face and kissed him delicately on the lips.

Henry broke the kiss to whisper in her ear, “If you keep talking like that we’re going to end up producing more devil spawn.”

She laughed and he kissed her again, Y/N began to deepen the kiss, pulling at his hair as his lips travelled down to her down neck, until she pulled away.

“Sorry darling, I have a cake to bake.” She spoke with a faux pout.

Henry stood there for a moment, heated and stunned until he he readjusted to the change in scenario.

“Can I help?” He asked.

“Hmmm you can clean the dishes we used if you’d like. Pretty please.” Y/N asked him.
